easy terrain but very unclear trail around the halfway point, I could not find the correct path and ended up backtracking

Our daily hike, I feel so fortunate to live here.

This is a nice and easy trail. I only have two complaints: there are many splits in the path. For a first time walker on this path, I accidentally cut my walk short. And two, the path is only wide enough for one person, and I’d like to bring someone with me to see these sights

I’m new to hiking, but this is a nice one. There are varying levels of terrain and steepness, and the view from the top of the rock is absolutely incredible. I HIGHLY recommend a climb to the top!

From where you park following the paved path down and at the fork go Left to get to the trailhead. Great hike with lots of boulders, greenery, shade. Once you get through the trees and come to the open space look for pink tag markets on trees and follow the cairns to keep in the path. Thank goodness someone marked or it would be hard to follow. Makes it fun looking for the markers. This is a good hike for kids too.

It is a quick walk from home. Keep an eye on your path, some parts are tricky to find on the way back. There are some rock markers to follow. The views are wonderful. Add on Chucks loop for more hike distance.

Easy hike for all the fam. Beautiful views!

Great network of trails right in town! You could really put down a lot of miles if you wanted to. Deducted a star only because from a hiking stand point, we had to be on guard for mountain bikers. Speaking of which, I will certainly ride these trails myself in the near future!

This was my first trail I did when I moved out here in Colorado. It’s a short hike but had a lot of incline so it’s easy but tough. I recommend this hike for beginners and also if you’re not very used to the elevation change. Great trail for dogs. Beautiful sight of Castle Rock.

The one good thing about this trail is that it’s paved so my kids were able to ride their bikes. But the second half of the path goes along busy roads, which isn’t very peaceful. We won’t be doing this trail again. I feel like we could’ve taken a quieter walk through our neighborhood.

This hike is basically a novelty. It is neither peaceful nor beautiful (except geologically, of course) because of its urban location. Nevertheless, it is neat, and I was excited when I discovered you can scramble to the top of the rock.

Chuck’s Loop is a beautiful and easy hike, but there are many places (5+) where the trail is not clearly marked and you can get lost. My husband went before me and took me back yesterday and we still got lost! Nice terrain and scenery, though.

Really nice easy ride. Happy people and Festival Park is beautiful!

Easy and beautiful!

This trial was a lot more difficult to navigate than I has expected so it recommend downloading the map! Will do next time. Very nice single track, not technical. There are a lot of up and down sections so it was a good workout!

Loved it! Beautiful views fun flowy single track. Some small fun rocky sections, one semi-hard one (w/option to bypass). I’m a flat pedaler/more of a downhill guy, so some of the climbs were killing me (lung-wise) and a little technical. Did the full outer 9miles, finished after dark. Can’t wait to do it again!!

Great little hidden gem in the middle of town, woody enough to almost forget you are in town! Easy enough for the kids to do on their own. There are also a few benches along the trail if a little sit down is needed.

Went yesterday with my pup. Easy hike and pretty views. Parking and drive in are easy and paved. A few places for the pup to get in the cool water.

Easy. Excellent view at the top with places to sit and enjoy. Dog park next to trail. I-25 is noisy but can tune it out.

Great. Pretty Riparian land and happy people.

Fun hike. Steps are hand made. You can do several repetitions.

More of a dog park, not a hike or trail by any means

Fun loop to get the blood moving, we enjoy jogging down the trail after the climb.

Nice easy hike, it’s fun to walk along the riverbed. You can take your dog, too.

The hike to the base of the rock is fabulous, but a warning that climbing to the top of the rock is especially slippery and dangerous right now. Maybe the rock has become extra slick over the years from frequent use? I fell 30 feet just two weeks after someone else fell in almost the exact same place. We were both extremely injured and lucky to have survived. Falling in that area does not mean you gradually slide down, it means you fall through the air off a cliff and land on rock. The area around the tree and higher than the tree is especially slick. Please be careful! Wear a helmet or just avoid it altogether.

great local hike if you take the switchback path, located off the north west section of the sidewalk. Look for the "trail" sign and it splits away from the bike paths. Once up the butte the terrain is mainly flat. Single file natural pathway throughout.

Makes me sad to see folks giving Chuck’s Loop negative reviews. I really love it there! Yes, it’s exposed and there is virtually no shade, but it’s an easy trail with varied terrain and the views are AMAZING! We saw beautiful bluebirds and lots of hummingbirds. Watching the prairie dogs was entertaining as well. If you’ve tried it and didn’t like it, may I recommend going back near sunset?

Decent trail with some nice views.

Since I did Caste Rock trail and was the same starting point, decided to do this one too. The map was WACK, some "trails" were not even a trail! At least I enjoyed the Castle Rock one, and got to see the most part of the trails, I think. I recommend the other one (Castle Rock) instead. This map was really bad.
