Perfect for kids. My 2 year old loved it.

Starts in a neighborhood so it’s pretty unassuming. But once you get to the trail it’s beautiful! Lots of cool birds and lizards!

Really easy trail till you get to the top. Well paved and rocky/easy to follow. At the top there’s a part that’s pretty steep which you have to scramble/climb to get up- very possible if you take it slow.

5 stars because it is exactly as described, but not going to do it over and over. Trailhead is at the back of the parking lot. The adjacent dog park was busy but we only saw a few people on the trail. Veer right for an easier climb. Took about 45 minutes with two 8 year olds. Would be nice early a.m. or evening- very hot mid day, but quick and perfect for what we were looking for. You can hear 25 the entire time, but with few people on the trail and great views it felt more remote.

Fun, quick trail. No shade, but basically had the trail to myself!

Great trail and easy to choose how far you want to hike, not just a set loop size. Loved this trial, great for dogs.

Loved it! Slight elevation gains but easy for dogs and people with bad knees, too. Definitely will be back.

There is a detour which you have to be in rock a very short time before the tunnels. Good little loop. Will be next to traffic on back half of your dog has problems with that.

Loved the "mini-incline," that type of strenuous exercise makes me feel alive! Nice flatter trails for mountain biking and walking, and you get to pass by the various zipline check points, which is fun!

We had the dog so we couldn’t scramble the rocks to get to the very top

Sweet sweet trail with some pretty scenery. Trails are clean. Great for hiking trail running and mountain biking

It was a very nice hike other then the fact that there is no shade what so ever and it was 90° outside. It would be a great hike to do on a cooler day. I also want to go back one day and try out all the ziplines.

My 6 year old did amazing! He loved the adventure! Very windy the day we went!.

They are still building and adding shade on the short half that we went in today. It will be beautiful when it greens up.

It was pretty cool but I would recommend a lot more rocks to climb on. I love seeing the view and it’s really cool to see all the cool rocks.

Did this yesterday. Chucks Loop is fairly busy as expected on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, took the Legacy Traill offshoot and that was far less crowded and a very enjoyable hike. Also extended it by going down Mitchel Canyon trail a couple miles and back. We had a dog on a leash and all of us enjoyed it.

Fun ride. Some good twists and turns

Sunny, no shade. The new Legacy Trail offshoot is worth the effort though. You can also connect to the Mitchell Creek Canyon Trail at the southeast side of Chuck's Loop for a longer, more rugged, and very scenic hike.

Mellow nature walk that leads to a sweet outcrop that has a great view. When the map ends keep going a little further and you'll find it. You can also go down from there instead of doubling back.

One of the best hikes in Castle Rock! Trail follows the edge of the canyon but can be hard to find at times - there are cairns all along the way to help guide you. Spectacular views from the ridge. Great for bird-watching. Didn't see any snakes this time. Go early (I started at 630am) because it gets sunny with no shade on top of the ridge. Connect to Chuck's Loop at Gateway Mesa (and the new Legacy Trail) for a few extra miles.

NO WATERFALL but very nice otherwise. There are some wildflowers blooming and it looks like the cactus near the homestead will bloom soon.

Easy walking trail unless you connect to Grand Mesa - beautiful rocks

Legacy Trail offshoot of Chucks Loop. Great hike with a little scrambling and more elevation changes than Chucks Loop. Took 8-month old Grandson for first three-generation hike. More ‘moderate’ than ‘easy’.
