Beautiful hike with great weather and great views. Posthole’d the entire way down the backside of the mountain though. Knee deep to waist deep.

Good fairly easy snowshoe trail. Very few other people on a holiday weekend Sunday. Didn’t make it all the way, but good packed snow, nice views of surrounding peaks. Recommended.

just FYI this is qundary's West ridge route NOT the standard East ridge trail. it's a 3rd/4th class scramble not a hike, if you're experienced with a bit of Mountaineering or rock climbing it's a fun outing (though we did it in the winter and the wind was pretty brutal)

Great short hike. Took me about 45 minutes. Even beautiful in snow. Definitely check map when hiking. All kinds of lovely twists and turns. Will do again.

Went out at 9:30am. Didn’t see many people until the last few miles of our hike. Great snowshoeing conditions today (1/12/20)

You can get to the top of the mountain but can’t get down because the trail isn’t groomed on the way down. Snowshoes required. Otherwise nice trail.

Great trail! Meeting Isak is magical. Now official memorabilia available at www.BreckTroll.com

Nice wide trail - not many people, in fact I was on my way for almost the entire distance. Steady uphill climb to the mine ruins which made the return downhill trip seem very quick. An enjoyable morning snowshoe.

Had snow shoes but probably did not need them as it was fairly tamped down.

great ski however the gates are close on Sallie for the winter so you have a mile and a half before you get to the trail head.

Great packed down trail for most of it. Spikes were fine most of the way but glad we carried snowshoes just in case. Some post holing just above tree line. Got pretty windy but blue skies were nice.

Great trail for snowshoeing and ski touring. Lightly trafficked. Nice wide, short trail up to the mine ruins. Majority in shade on a winter morning. Added bonus were the information boards at the top sharing a little extra knowledge on the area.

gorgeous views, single digit temps, snowshoes recommended above treeline. took us 3 hours to get to the top of the saddle, so we opted to turn back there. still an epic hike, my first winter 14er. bring hand warmers and lots of layers.

Great hike and workout! Lightly trafficked, lots of friendly dogs. It was my first snowshoe hike with my husky and we made it to the top of the lookout point.

We hiked 12/21/19. Quiet trail, arrived around 12pm on a Saturday and saw maybe 3 other folks hiking. Lots of snow but no traction required. A lot of the ruins are absolutely COVERED in snow. You can see the structures near the Reiling dredge on the water, but otherwise there is snow covering most everything else. It was still enjoyable, but I want to come back in the summer to see more of the abandoned structures.
