The first half of this trail was fairly easy and finished it in about a hour. After getting to the ridge to start climbing the mountain face, it took almost a hour and a half to climb the 1.2 miles. Extremely windy and cold from the exposure that only amounted to about 10 minutes at the summit.

It’s a drive to the actual trailhead and you’ll have to walk about a mile from where you can park but it’s worth it to the waterfall and great place to snack and the turn around spot.

Very easy hike worth driving to the top and looking east, then drive down and hike and go see the waterfall. Worth it

The trail has many developed wooden and stone steps. Very civilized.

Did this the 9th and again the next day. It's just a beautiful hike up a hill! It was my friends first 14er and we enjoyed the passing conversation with the fellow hikers! The wind was prevalent throughout most of the ascent but wasn't very noticeable on the way down. Very little snow and it wasn't near the trail. Up in 2:15 Down 1:30 on Monday The next day went alone and made the round trip in under 3. Ran pretty much on the downhill. Not a storm in sight either day started 8 the first day 8:40 the second. Only disappointment was not seeing any mountain goats. Have a great time!

The views are fabulous in all directions. As we stopped for a rest you can turn around and enjoy the beauty. We made it to the top and ate lunch in a very small spot out of the wind.

Great trail with amazing views all the way to the top! Challenging for this 75 year old from Missouri but I was determined to see “the other side of the mountain “!!! It is classified as a “moderate trail” but our “moderate trails” in Mo are easy compared to this one!!!!

Bagged my second 14er here this morning with my dog! Tough hike and high winds! Very cold at the top, I regret not having gloves. It was a great workout with amazing views. Started at 640am, peaked around 940am and left by 1130am. Didn’t spend much time at the top because I was so cold! My watch clocked me in at 8 miles round trip.

Great views of the range from the meadow at Josie’s cabin, cute historic cabin with old ski artifacts. Recommended for a short lovely hike.

I rode my dirt bike from the Boreas Pass Trailhead and stopped at every opportunity to take pictures of the scenery. Pretty easy trail, as it’s just a mountain road. Rutted in some places, but manageable. I saw a couple driving their Honda Accord on the road. I’d recommend this trail simply for the views.

Super simple trail that’s great for an afternoon hike! There’s some beautiful scenic points that are breath taking. We ended up walking down the dirt road back to our car, which had some gorgeous views. I know you can pick up another trail back down as well, which we’ve done before.

Beautiful, very easy trail. Great place to take a lunch and just relax. Ten miles outside Breck but worth it.

This trail was beautiful yesterday.

Really tough climb that goes on forever, views from about halfway to the end are spectacular. Big workout, big reward.

A great hike. Took a little longer than expected though. Once you get to the first lake it is sometimes hard to find the track to the second lake, but worth the effort.

Gorgeous 14er with scenic views the whole way. Expect to see a crowd and be encouraged to get onto the trail early. Very well marked and a fun hike to start in the dark!

Excellent trail. Good for camping.

Good hike. Started later than should have (10am) however had checked weather before and it was all clear. It worked out good as by the time got up-top it was just 4 other folks. probably starting at 7AM is a good idea. Trailhead parking was full. instead of parking on the road, drive in towards the trail a bit and park. it's a long hike. plan accordingly. Enjoy!!

A simple trail woth no elevation gain until the end. Wide enough to walk several people abreast cause it is an old gravel road.

Definitely underestimated the difficulty! Even as a conditioned competitive athlete (who resides at sea level ;)) , the trek to the summit was exhausting! Worth it for the summit, of course. Started at 8:45, summit 11:30, done 2:00 with few short breathers and one 15-minute snack break.

Great trail...unless bike race going on...otherwise good trail for beginning of your stay. Mostly easy up and down. Beautiful during fall foliage and not to be missed.

Started at 5am and finished at 11:15am. Got the last parking space in the first lot. The top had a dusting of snow and frost on some of the rocks. Great hike!

Hiked on 9/8/19. Got to trail head by 6:45AM, reached summit by 9:30AM, spent an hour up top and was back down by 12:15. Trail does get crowded so make sure to get out early. Beautiful views from the top on both sides of the ridge. Weather moved in fast as we were descending and conditions can definitely be variable up there. Wear good footwear as there's lots of loose rock at the top, bring plenty of layers. First 14er, would recommend.
