A perfect morning hike. Late start at 8:45 AM yielded a great parking spot! Nice on a weekday AM.

Steep at first, then smooth sailing. More of a road than trail near the end. Views are stunning.

Beautiful scenery, quite crowded. Despite being rated as easy, this trail gains a lot of elevation in a short time. But the views of the Flatirons are worth it.

Great hike....ran into other trails which was nice...saw some deer...easy hike, peaceful

Nice walk with lots of wildlife. We saw 2 longhorns which was cool. Lots of bugs make sure to bring some bug spray. Seems like a great place to fish.

Saw this "trail" on the way back home, since it's a short trail and get to see the waterfall, I decided to go. Parking space is limited, and also it's by a busy highway. It was such a nice "quick stop". It's worth it! 09/15/2019

Very easy and chill hike. Be prepared to get out of the way of bikers. Beautiful views.

This trail was scenic and beautiful through and through! We brought the dog and she loved the shade and clearly marked trails. There is a nice rock area to explore with beautiful views along the trail! This was also easy for the dog to navigate and kids seemed like they loved it!

Did this trail this morning. Great views! The beginning is a lot of climbing. And the summit honestly seemed forever away at one point but I think that’s because I live on the east coast haha. Great workout. Took 3 hours (again east coaster, who doesn’t hike often). You are able to make it a loop with the valley trail, little over 3 miles.

Had a great time for our first trip on this trail!! Took our kids and they loved it too. Pretty easy but amazing views of nature!

We had a large group of women - all ages. The trail was nice - varied, shade, some inclines, great views. We did see a bear pretty close to the trail. Scary.

Terrific hike if you’re wanting picture perfect views and Something short and easy to do. Lots of trails in this area off of Flagstaff to explore.

On a not clear sky 90 degree day, I would have ranked this easy. But awesome trail still. No shade.

Intermittent shade. Easy trail.

A nice long hike. Starting at 11:00 and ending at 2:00, it was pretty sun exposed and I thought there would be more shade considering it winds through the ponderosa pines. And while the trail was rocky at times it was very well maintained and the signage along the trail was excellent. It's a long steady climb up the Wapiti Trail, then it evens out a bit along the Ponderosa Loop. The scenic overlook midway through the Ponderosa Loop was beautiful. Passed a handful of hikers and trail runners. The trail seems popular with mountain bikers and all were very friendly and considerate.

Easy trail but pleasant. Can be buggy. Great for birdwatching.

It wasn’t as easy as I expected. It goes up and up and keeps going up. Not recommended for someone looking for a nice flat walk.

Nothing special, but I guess it would be good for beginner hikers.

Nice walk, not too hard but still a workout. shade and nice views. only issue keeping this from a 5 star is the stench of dog crap every few minutes or so.....people pick up your dog crap please!

I forgot to start recording until midway on the red rock trail, somehow I switched trails and finished on the Lion’s Lair trail. Both are good trails well maintained. Red Rock was easy, but lions lair was considerably harder especially going counterclockwise ( recommend trekking pole) Views from on top of Lion’s Lair are worth the hike. Two thumbs up!!!

We loved this trail. It is the perfect hike with some incline and declines. The most beautiful view of UC Boulder which was perfect since we were touring the college. We could see the game in the stadium from up top which was so cool. The views were breathtaking and there are wonderful boulders for climbing. Little trails that drop off for privacy and insane views. Bring a hammock and lunch! May point is just breathtaking. The whole trail was amazing. Had so much fun. There is a ranger station and bathrooms in the parking lot which was also convenient.

Was a beauty walk up to red rock! Then through that and over into Sanitas. A difficult walk to the top but the peak is wonderful! Check it out

Good little hike! Fun for doggos too!

Good trail on a dry day. Little bit of an incline at the beginning. Very pretty views on the trail and on the drive up. This is a fee area and you can get your Parking sticker at the trail head. Perfect first day hike for a flat-lander. There are other trail that branch off so you can extend the distance if you wish.
