Love this trail at any other time of the year, except right now it is so buggy! Tons of mosquitos and we forgot bug spray. It’s a beautiful trail for sunset or a short hike, but not enjoyable this time of year when the mosquitoes are swarming you. Great trail to take your dog off leash though.

It was so buggy we only lasted a few minutes. We were covered in bites and bugs were swarming our dog immediately.

Just hiked out and back (without doing the small off loop). Tons of mosquitos right now. Would recommend a bunch of bug spray. I was eaten alive. Super easy trail to do. Flat the whole way with great views of the mountains in the distance. I love stopping and letting my dogs take a dip in the stream (didn't this time because of the mosquitos and incoming rain). Dogs off leash on the dirt path but on leash on the paved path.

Hiked 6/16/19. Nice, flat trail. Lightening and heavy rain started up so we turned around just after leaving the creek side. Dog friendly!!

Basically an off leash dog park with a trail running through. Not ideal if your dog doesn’t love other dogs like mine. If you have a dog loving dog it looks like a great place with a nice trail and beautiful views!!

My two dogs and I visited this trail on 4/7. It is a flat, dirt loop that has a view of the mountains and and a lake however the water is fenced off. No chance of getting lost on this trail. Very dog friendly in fact everyone there had one or two dogs. Trash bins at the entrance/exit of the trail. No shade or benches during the walk. Nothing is wrong with this trail; just not my favorite.

Fun to cruise through on a mountain bike. Perfectly smooth trail most of the time.

Very easy walk on either paved or gravel path. Many dogs with most on leashes. Easy to take jogging or all terrain stroller on the path. Several bikers, but most called out that they were coming up behind you. Some good views of the mountains and Flatirons.

Beautiful but beware-TAKE BUG SPRAY!!! I got attacked by biting flies so badly that I had to turn around and run back about 1 mile into it and I'm covered in bites now.

Great run and scenery through Boulder. It’s lots of fun, but can be crowded. If you’re looking for an easy grade trail and are ok with mostly paved running, this is a fantastic option!

This is a fun trail to go on with kids. No climbing involved and is very easy relaxed hike. We found wild garlic growing and this trail is awesome if you start at the North Boulder Recreation Center and circle all the way back. There are places to dip your toes in the water but we need to come when the sun is up otherwise it can get cold

Very pretty. Easy hike. Would be very enjoyable with a bike. Lots of pretty flowers. Bring bug spray. Lots of mosquitos and biting bugs. I was not prepared.

This is a nice flat trail, good for an easy-going hike or trail run. Some of the nice features of this trail include easy access to South Boulder Creek along most of the trail, views of the Flatirons, and wildflowers in the summer. On a Sunday afternoon on a nice summer day, it wasn't terribly crowded. A couple of remarks about the trail's description - I would say that it doesn't really feature a lake, the Baseline Reservoir is not easily viewed, although there are a couple of small ponds near the East Boulder Community Center. Secondly, this is mostly an out and back trail, the only loop is around the Community Center ponds.

I've only used the bike trails but it's a good time. If I'm bored on a Saturday afternoon it's a good way to work up a sweat by biking on the trails.

This is a really nice trail if you're looking for a relaxing walk or hike. Paved and gravel paths are often used by cyclists, but a dirt path runs along a creek for walkers and trail runners. It's a popular trail for families with young kids or people with their dogs, but it never feels overly crowded. In spite of being on the east side of town, you still get nice views of the Flatirons along the way. The parking lot on Baseline is pretty small and fills up quickly, but if you park at the East Boulder Rec/Community Center, you can connect to the Bobolink Trail.

Lovely trail, but the mosquitos are aggressive. There were times when I had more than 10 swarming around me!

This is a nice path to take my toddler. The gravel path along the creek still allows for an all terrain stroller easily. There are nice views through the trees.

nice view and dog walk

A great trail with good views. Only problem I had was a large rattlesnake who startled me by rattling while laying almost invisible on the trail. Definitely got my attention. Was sunning itself on the bare trail. I gingerly walked wide around it.

Great trail! Has a beautiful view of the flatirons and a creek running along the entire trail for your dogs to cool off on a hot day. They have trash stations through out the trail so you’re not carrying poop bags for too long. Very dog friendly!! My only complaint is that this parking lot is pretty small and space fills up quick. I go in the middle of the day through the week. If there’s no space there’s always dry creek trail a few minutes up the road!
