Beautiful scenery, quite crowded. Despite being rated as easy, this trail gains a lot of elevation in a short time. But the views of the Flatirons are worth it.

This trail was scenic and beautiful through and through! We brought the dog and she loved the shade and clearly marked trails. There is a nice rock area to explore with beautiful views along the trail! This was also easy for the dog to navigate and kids seemed like they loved it!

It wasn’t as easy as I expected. It goes up and up and keeps going up. Not recommended for someone looking for a nice flat walk.

Nothing special, but I guess it would be good for beginner hikers.

Fun trail, went on a Saturday afternoon, some wildflowers and the view at the top is just incredible. Must do hike in Boulder!

The earlier the better to avoid crowds but totally worth it!

Amazing long trail! Not for the faint hearted, with snakes and bears to compete with, be careful

My dog and I got stung by bees between a half mile and a mile up on the right side. There was some sort of nest that had been stirred up on the ground. Hike with caution for the next couple days

A LOT OF PEOPLE which was annoying, go super super early. Parking is also impossible by 10am.

Followed everyone’s advice to go up the Mt. Sanitas side first. It’s very steep but this allows the way down lion’s liar to be a breeze, which is a much better way to end a hike in my opinion. We went Saturday at 11 and it was hot as there’s not much shade. There’s vast views of the city but the mountain view is blocked.

Gets real steep real quick but definitely an enjoyable hike.

We went up Sanitas mountain trail with lots of steps and small boulder stairs.

Great sunrise hike! Good incline, not too difficult! Smooth sailing all the way down.

Lots of people out on a Sunday, but beautiful trail.

Very open area. Not very shady. Great views all throughout

The chitaqua trail up is a steady and steep incline that is paved, but some serious cardio. Once you’re up, it’s a gorgeous view and the cut through the woods is lovely.

Super busy and a steep incline leading to other trails. This was my first hike to a somewhat higher elevation and had just had lunch and I almost puked. Yeah yeah I know mistakes were made but if you’re finding yourself still sensitive to elevation here in Colorado, be forewarned. Once you’re up, the other trails are numerous and lovely.
