This is a fun trail to go on with kids. No climbing involved and is very easy relaxed hike. We found wild garlic growing and this trail is awesome if you start at the North Boulder Recreation Center and circle all the way back. There are places to dip your toes in the water but we need to come when the sun is up otherwise it can get cold

Very pretty. Easy hike. Would be very enjoyable with a bike. Lots of pretty flowers. Bring bug spray. Lots of mosquitos and biting bugs. I was not prepared.

This is a nice flat trail, good for an easy-going hike or trail run. Some of the nice features of this trail include easy access to South Boulder Creek along most of the trail, views of the Flatirons, and wildflowers in the summer. On a Sunday afternoon on a nice summer day, it wasn't terribly crowded. A couple of remarks about the trail's description - I would say that it doesn't really feature a lake, the Baseline Reservoir is not easily viewed, although there are a couple of small ponds near the East Boulder Community Center. Secondly, this is mostly an out and back trail, the only loop is around the Community Center ponds.

I've only used the bike trails but it's a good time. If I'm bored on a Saturday afternoon it's a good way to work up a sweat by biking on the trails.

This is a really nice trail if you're looking for a relaxing walk or hike. Paved and gravel paths are often used by cyclists, but a dirt path runs along a creek for walkers and trail runners. It's a popular trail for families with young kids or people with their dogs, but it never feels overly crowded. In spite of being on the east side of town, you still get nice views of the Flatirons along the way. The parking lot on Baseline is pretty small and fills up quickly, but if you park at the East Boulder Rec/Community Center, you can connect to the Bobolink Trail.

Tons of off leash dogs. Pretty trail otherwise.

Beautiful even on a rainy day!

Loved the shade, the friendly bikers, runners, and hikers, and saw some great scenery! A must

Easy to moderate hike. I was planning on making the hike longer by adding the Boy Scout Trail but it does not allow dogs, it is a Habitat Conservation Area. Instead I added in the Tenderfoot Trail (out and back). Wonderful short hike for the morning and to start getting back into shape for the season. I highly recommend hiking early morning for this area. I was off the trail by 9:30 am and the trails and parking lots were packed.

great with kids

Lovely trail, but the mosquitos are aggressive. There were times when I had more than 10 swarming around me!

Not wheelchair friendly at all.

Perfect for my two kids 4 & 6! Wildflowers, enough shade from trees along the trail, beautiful views

dog heaven. good run around for my pup. but he see the lake and wants to swim but cant

Good place for a nice stroll in the evening or after work.

Great hike for the dogs- lots of shady spots and beautiful views.

This is a nice path to take my toddler. The gravel path along the creek still allows for an all terrain stroller easily. There are nice views through the trees.

nice view and dog walk

Took UTE to Boy Scout ... love this area !!

A great trail with good views. Only problem I had was a large rattlesnake who startled me by rattling while laying almost invisible on the trail. Definitely got my attention. Was sunning itself on the bare trail. I gingerly walked wide around it.

Great trail! Has a beautiful view of the flatirons and a creek running along the entire trail for your dogs to cool off on a hot day. They have trash stations through out the trail so you’re not carrying poop bags for too long. Very dog friendly!! My only complaint is that this parking lot is pretty small and space fills up quick. I go in the middle of the day through the week. If there’s no space there’s always dry creek trail a few minutes up the road!

Very sweet easy walking trail, some incredible cottonwoods along the path. Perfect place to just do a short jaunt or also could wander a good while. Pretty view of front range beyond the lake was where I had to turn back but I intend to go back soon. :)
FYI Picnic bench at trailhead and trash bins but no other amenities.

Lovely open areas

Went on thanksgiving and saw a dozen people out enjoying nature. Off leash dogs are allowed with Boulder yellow tag. You have to go up a steep path if you want to walk by the reservoir.

Simple flat trail along a creek. Near busy roads so you can hear car noise, but a pretty nice easy getaway for a nearly in-town walk.

Very well maintained easy trail. As we share the trail with bikes at certain points, it would be really helpful if a bicyclist can yell heads-up so that we can get out of its way.

Was a very nice level walk with beautiful views.

Beautiful local trail, easily accessible. You're not hiking in the mountains, but you have pretty views of a few.
