Beautiful.... the drive, the hot springs, the view of the trains driving by while you soak... amazing. The hot springs is pretty small, but it was perfect on a Monday afternoon. About 7 other people were there. The hike is short and simple. When you see the warning sign look to the left and that’s where the train leads you to the hot springs. Not muddy and the water was a perfect 80 degrees.

This is a must!! I will definitely be returning in a few weeks. My friends and I took one wrong turn which took us the complete wrong way...so we took the scenic route but still made it! I recommend finding a map or concrete trail directions because there are a lot of junctions. The trail was super muddy so be prepared to slide and get your shoes dirty! You do have to scramble down a few rocks to get to the spring but it's pretty easy, just stay hands free. We were in the hot spring for hours! It was so warm and beautiful. Such an awesome experience. Happy hiking!!

The hike is nothing special or remarkable nice. The area doesn't exactly look like "moderately trafficked". This would make it a 3 star at most. However the drive is breathtaking and the location is just amazing. The river, the pool literally IN the river, the tracks, the mountains around... So if you are on a trip to Hot Sulphur or to Steamboat with friends that are not used to the Rockies: This will give them an unforgettable impression.

Make sure you go down to the warning sign. We passed it and ended up about a half mile too far down the trail. Went during rafting season so there were a ton of people. Planning to go back in the fall, and earlier in the day!

Great hike! Same thing happened to us. We trailed 2miles past the springs but still ended up down by the River! The Springs are right before the WARNING sign. Take the right route when you're climbing down the rocks towards the hot spring...

Trail was pretty easy but someone had knocked the carine over that defines the end of the trail. There is another trail that attaches to the hot springs one and we ended up hiking for 2 miles past the springs. Nice day so no big deal. The springs though were engulfed by the river because it is high season. Just something to be aware of if you want to soak in the spring don't go during high season.
