Beautiful hike. Drive to trail was easy (many sedans in the parking area). The climb to the waterfall is fairly easy, lots of rocks in the path but that is to be expected in Colorado. After the waterfall there is a steep climb to the lake.

Five stars just because we saw a moose, actually two moose!!

We are glad we did this hike as there is a beautiful waterfall and lake as a reward. Saw a mountain goat by the edge of the falls. This seems to be more of a moderate-hard than a moderate-easy hike, but we are also from the Midwest.

Great trail but it does take an effort to get to the lakes. Lots of climbs, rocks, roots and some loose gravel. The waterfalls are really beautiful and the wild flowers are nice. The round trip took us about 4 hours.

Really nice up and back. Easy from the trailhead on a sand road. Hike has it all. Roots in the trees, boulders, loose scree, flat runs and steep spots. We left the trailhead at 9a and got back at the truck 12:30p. Only went as far as the lake. Trail at the lake narrows and looked tougher than it probably was so we stopped and ate a snack and enjoyed the lake view. Had the trail mostly to ourselves on the way up, busier on the way down. All ages on the trail. We are flat landers in our late 50’s. No worries. Highly recommend this hike.

Amazing hike. Not too difficult, but takes some work to get all the way up there. Great vistas, nice payoff at the end. I'll be back.

Hiked past the waterfall to the first lake. It was well worth the effort. The waterfall was gorgeous and the lake pristine. It was a challenging hike, but our kids (6 & 8) did a great job. We hauled our 1 yr old in a back pack carrier.

Great All Around Colorado hiking adventure...has it all. Gradual incline, great scenic views, massive waterfalls, lakes, shade, water for the dog. Full distance in took about 2 hours...and back to the car (overall) a little less than 4 hours.

This is an excellent little hike with great payoff. A few notes:
-there's plenty of parking at the Hoosier Pass summit, but if you're having trouble finding a spot, passenger cars can continue a tenth of a mile or so up the jeep road and park at one of the dispersed camping areas
-we completed this as a counterclockwise loop, which I would recommend. If you choose to do so, there's a steep trail directly to the right shortly after the Jeep road splits off to Crystal Lake. You'll see the single track up the hill. It's a steep incline at first, but becomes more manageable soon.
-returning via the Jeep road (continuing counterclockwise on the loop) is good on the knees because it's less of a grade
-there are plenty of options to continue the hike once you get to the top (some mine ruins, other trails, Crystal Lake, etc.)
Enjoy!

Fun little hike with my parents. Trail was well maintained jeep-type road on the way up, and single track on the way down. Be sure to go past the rock stacks to get to the single track just over the high point. Beautiful views of the surrounding peaks and the Dillon reservoir.

Nice easy morning walk to a set of lakes. Ideal first hike for us flat landers. Our group was age 59-24. Trail is a 4x4 road. Great for families. 8:30a- 11:30a round trip at a leisurely pace. Fished an hour. Nice views. Had the trail to ourselves on the way in. We’ll do this one again I’m sure.

Great hike with the Family. Well worth the effort, especially if you continue up past the waterfall to the lakes.

Great hike. 4 hours with 2 dogs and not being in the best shape. Some areas a little rocky. Beautiful waterfall. Alpine lake about 20 min past waterfall and a bit steep incline.

Beautiful hike with family including 9 and 12 year old. Continual climbing with mix of wooded trail and rocky path. Great view of waterfall. Midday was very busy but experienced good trail etiquette along the hike.

Done this hike 3 years in a row now, and love it! Make sure you go all the way up to the Lakes and explore the basin.

Fun trail for sure. It’s a good climb on the way up so beginners and out of towners beware. Lots of friendly dogs and people. Highly recommend making it up to the lake.

Great hike for the family!

Absolutely beautiful hike the water features are breath taking! Alongside the beautiful waterfalls the trail itself is technical and jaw dropping. Must do trail !

This is our 3rd summer to come to Breckenridge for summer vacation. This is the 2nd time we’ve done this hike and it’s our favorite. Waterfalls are awesome and the lake is an added bonus.

it's tough but pretty

Great hike for the family. We had kids ranging from 15-6. Everyone made it to the waterfall the Little’s went down afterwards and the big kids went up to the lake. But very doable for anyone.

This hike was absolutely awesome. Make sure you go past the falls to the lake. The views of the surrounding valley and quandary peak towering over you are magnificent! Highly recommend!!

Beautiful hike to the lake and busy. As others have said make sure and go to the lake, the views are worth it. Only negative is that very few hikers have trail etiquette.

We started out really late and ended up hiking most of it in the dark, but it still had some great views and was a fun hike. We also saw some sweet biting goats #neaturewalks

Excellent trail. Fun for nearly all ages. 4 hours at slow pace with plenty of stops for flora, fauna, and photographs of the wildflowers and such.

This was a great, very short, very easy hike. Although if you do this one, I recommend you go right on past the gravel roundabout with the old bathtub, and keep going up the trail to the waterfall edge. There were some great views and it didn’t add much distance. We did particularly like the class that the pink flamingo floaty added to the ambiance.

hiked to the waterfalls (apparently you can keep going and there's a lake). As a newish hiker, I'd say this was a pretty tough hike, but well worth it. Lots of people on the trail but in a good way, everyone was cheerful and having a great day. I would HIGHLY recommend hiking boots over any other type of footwear, as there are several spots that are very rocky, some slippery gravel, and multiple narrow bridges that would be slippery if wet.

This was a wonderful little hike for the whole family. We started out just before sunset and enjoyed stunning views all the way up. By the time we made it to the lake we decided to go ahead and hike up the trail to the ridge. This hike should be much shorter, but if you want some stunning views feel free to follow our trail up. It’s worth it!

One of the best sights I've ever seen!! the waterfall was breathtaking

Loved it! Steady incline but not too challenging. Amazing views the whole way. Loved all the waterfalls. Lake at the top is breathtaking-and not that much further.
