Beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains. A little steep but short and rewarding! Saw lots of cute muskrats swimming around in the lake.

Started from lily lake, and decided on the spot to hike the storm pass trail. After 3 miles, seeing the Estes cone 0.7miles, so why not summit it. Literally rock climbing, but at the end. Worth it! Estes cone summit

Great trail for a family hike! Much more interesting than just going around Lily Lake. My friend and I did this with our 6, 5, and two 3 year olds and they walked the whole way and really enjoyed climbing on all the rocks and the variety of the terrain.

Short, great for children, stroller friendly

Not my favorite trail in RMNP. Lots of rock/boulder steps & pretty steep throughout. Not unstable, just steep until the end when you're forced to scramble up a boulder field to the top which we decided to pass on due to weather. Some great views of Longs Peak along the way though. Probably won't do this one again though. Too many other trails to tackle!

Hard all the way to the top but worth it for the views from up there!

Really fun and challenging hike with spectacular views. The first 3.5 miles to the base of the mountain aren't bad at all. The final ~1300 ft scramble from the bottom to top is easy but physically demanding. Plus you've to come back down the same way which will definitely take a toll on your knees so carry walking sticks for support if you want. We took 4 hours to summit and 3 to come back to the parking lot. Carry healthy snacks, a beanie and cold weather jacket. Highly recommend this hike!

Basically a very slightly harder -- but still not hard -- version of the Lily Lake Trail. Rather than simply walk around the lake, you go up a few dozen feet and see the lake (and Longs) from above. Good choice for families with young kids. The Lily Lake parking lot is small and fills quickly, but there's additional parking across the street for the Twin Sisters Peak Trail. Didn't see much wildlife this time but got lucky and saw a young moose here a few years ago.

Awesome views at the top make it worth the last 0.7 mike scramble. Arrived 6:30am and plenty of parking still available by Lily Lake (it’s a small lot though so any later and may have been full).

The lake is lovely and flat, we did a circuit through the valley behind the lake as well, which was easy and lightly trafficked.

The last scramble to the top is pretty well marked with cairns, but tough, though as I said, the 360 views are so worth it.

First little stretch is pretty steep then mostly flat up to the lake. Beautiful views!

Fun quick hike up and then finished around the lake. Saw an otter and lots of ducks which the kids liked.

Really nice and pretty easy. My little 4 year old did it with no problem. Took one star because sometimes it was hard to find the trail.

Spectacular views from the summit! Had the mountain to ourselves! The direct route up the east face consists of really fun boulder hopping - but it’s deceivingly long. We thought we’d be up it in just a few minutes... Wrong! If you’re looking for an easier way to the summit, consider avoiding a bunch of class 3 elevation gain by staying on the Boulderfield trail up to the north side of the mountain, then take a left toward the saddle just off the summit. Either way is fantastic!

Very good hike: good trail, good views, a little scramble at the top. More people than I expected on a weekday, but they were mostly from the LP trailhead.

I love the awesome view from the summit. This trail is one of my favorite and have been hiking it for the last 18 years.

Much more rewarding views than just going around the lake. Highly recommend for a short walk/hike. Kids would enjoy this. This does not mean it would be easy for all.

Just down from this hike. Quite the bouldering route! Beautiful day. Awesome view of Longs peak. Add a mile to the advertised distance for parking unless you are very lucky. Longs peak trail is always crowded but when you leave the trail you have Lady Washington all to yourself.

There was a terrible SNAKE! Otherwise, a wonderful short trail.

Beautiful but definitely not "easy", more moderate. My senior mom struggled, as did I with a baby in a carrier, although we both exercise regularly and live at altitude. Steep in parts. I'd do this again but with my husband carrying our son instead.

Excellent view of Long's Peak

We love this mini hike! We always do it our first day to get used to the altitude. The lake is beautiful with incredible 360 views. The trail up the ridge gives phenomenal views for little effort. I recommend going left around the lake and joining the trail on that side, it's a much more gradual incline.

Great easy trail, lots of wildlife around the lake.

Nice easy walk on a well maintained trail around the lake. The dirt trail along the ridge is well kept but a few might find the inclination (especially on the east side) somewhat difficult. The path to the top is not well maintained and will have you scrambling and pausing frequently to catch your breath. Overall, it is a scenic, fun, and short hike with many photo opportunities.
