Per Forest Service recommendation, we ventured up the trail to see Beaver Lake to fly fish. While we know the area and expected snow pack, the trail gets covered and wet early, right after you see the Beaver Creek lifts, 8, 9, and 10. Lake is still frozen, so no fishing was to be had. Great trail though. Fun workout and awesome setting.

Beautiful place. The hike is moderate but gets harder in some areas. You can ride horses too.

This place is my favorite spot in Avon. So peaceful. It’s not a trail though. You can bike and walk around

I would love to do this hike after the snow melts but won’t be here, we tried this hike May 9th. We almost made it to beaver lake, almost. So much snow and my husband started postholing with almost every step

Up hill from Elk parking lot to the Village. Wimped our and took the shuttle back down.

My wife and I did a little over 4 miles of this one on 5/2/18. It's a fine trail with steady incline but too much snow towards the top to make all the way up. We post-holed for a while before having enough of that. Good time had by all, even so.

Late April hike, not much snow pack until the end. Turned around at mile-2 due to snow pack. Will be great in the summer. Lots of felled trees, wide trail, easy to find.

Paved path, not really a trail. A pretty walk along edge of the main road in Beaver Creek. Nice for a walk if you don’t want to get lost, but not what I would call a “trail”.

Great view and easy going trail! We did it during winter and was incredible

Gorgeous hike! There was quite a bit of snow on the trail so make sure to wear waterproof shoes. Very few people were on the trail. Our five year old had no problem keeping up.
We parked at the Ford garage in Beaver Village, hiked through the Five Senses Trail in town up to the trailhead of Beaver Lake Trail.

Wide trails, a bit icy at the top.

Awesome trail. Beautiful destination. Make a day of it though. The trek there is all uphill!

It's a steady uphill, but I'd still call it moderate. We did a little over half this trail today with a 4-year-old and it was awesome! The leaves were almost at peak color, and the trail goes through lots of Aspen trees. Beautiful!

Awesome!

We took this tail from Allie's trail to head back down. Beautiful trail but LOTS of horse poop on the trail which makes it hard to find places to walk since it's everywhere.

We took this to Allie's trail head instead of Cinch trail. It's a very steep uphill climb for about 2 miles and should be rated at difficult so be for warned if you take this up.

This trail is not well documented, alltrails currently lists as lightly trafficked hiking trail. In fact half of the trail as charted is a wide paved road, the northern half a forest access road HEAVILY trafficked by various offroad vehicles.

We've done this one a couple times and it's such a wonderful, reasonable hike if you're looking for a beautiful wooded lake at the end! The first portion is a wide horse trail, which is steep, but easy going.

Make sure to pack a lunch and work your way around the lake to bask on one of the big rocks at the edge of the lake!

This is a very pleasant hike and very close to Beaver Creek. We went with a toddler and the path is comfortable with consistent coverage from the trees. After .5 miles in it forks and we took it straight down to the little stream. Definitely a good pay off with a toddler.

Nice hike, nice stream you can cool off in if u dare. When you come fork in the trail, you can go straight or it loops around to the right and reconnects with the main trail don't take it, it's over grown and almost impassable, I almost turned back because I couldn't see the trail, some hikers when descending on the main trail and I spotted them and got back on the main trail. Otherwise nice mostly shaded trail with some climbing too

Loved it! Beautiful walk with some lovely stops by the stream. Worth taking a few hours to try this

Great hike, especially in the spring when the aspens are super green or in the fall when the leaves are changing. If you have two cars you can easily loop the trail and come down through Beaver Creek.

Great retreat from the valley! Quick access into an aspen grove, great creek side spot for my pup to check out~loved this trail!

Nice hike worth for the lake . if you want to have fun, I recommend doing the loop through Royal Elk trail. There are two ways to do it: you can start from Beaver Creek village through the Five Senses Trail, to Beaver Lake and then back through Royal Elk trail or you can take the Centennial Gondola and hike Royal Elk down to the lake and then down to the village. the first option is uphill all the way while the 2nd is much easier as going downhill most of the way. it all depends on your fitness level !

Fun hike in and out to Beaver Lake! Elevation gain can be a bit much for those not used to the high altitude, but still enjoyable!

Amazing up and back hike with beautiful scenery, great wildlife and a stunning mountain lake to camp or just have lunch and head back.

It was a lovely hike with the reward of the beautiful lake at the end… Be sure to hike to the other end of the lake to see the little waterfall :-)
