Tons of goose poop on path. Water was green and smelled swampy.

Good place to fish after work or when you don't have time to drive anywhere. Not the prettiest as a walk, but then again, it's so close to lots of urban neighborhoods!

There are some fishing restrictions, so check the sign near the restrooms.

Nice views of the mountains and the lake. A bit narrow with tall grass on the east loop.

With dog. A little too much horse poop but a quick paved stroll if you don’t have time to head west.

Nice lil walk! There is a paved path and a trail.

This is a nice little lake in the middle of a neighborhood. It’s a quite area, so you can hear birds and see a few varieties around the lake. The 1+ mile path around the lake is paved. There was a nice breeze today, but there is no shade on the path. This lake is only a couple miles from our townhome, so very accessible for a quick walk. Also, it has easy access to put in kayaks.

Great way to start my day either walking or jogging with or without the dog. Great bike riding as well. Trail runs right through my backyard practically. Couldn't ask for more. Love this trail!!

I adore this park. The views are spectacular and it's very accessible. There's a cute little pond off the Jimmy Go trail where you can watch the ducks, but beware of snakes in the grass in the Spring (only saw garter snakes). This park is one of the very few things I miss dearly about living in the Arvada area.

This is my go-to trail when I need an escape. It’s close to my house and the view of the mountains is great! Unfortunately the trail doesn’t go around the entire lake; I always park at the parking lot on Simms and 86th and when you get to the West side of the lake there’s a fence and you have to turn around.

This trail is a causal walking trail, great for beginners and families and dogs. There are a few different paths to take with lots of cute little prairie dogs, runners, bikers, people fishing and sometimes horseback riders on the trail. If you walk next to the water there are bugs.

Convenient from Arvada and surrounding areas. Very easy walk around Standley Lake with views of the Foothills. There are also prairie dogs to see right by the parking lot and throughout the trail.

It’s okay if you don’t mind mc-mansions and golf courses.

Great trail for a relaxing ride. Constant view of city.

Nice open space, wide path, views of the city.

This was closer to a 2-3 mile loop. I prefer not to run on paved surfaces and ran in the grass along the side of the sidewalk which was pretty frequented by horses so I had to really watch where I stepped. There was full sun so this would be a good place for a quick outing on a cooler day and really was probably best for a quick walk.

Great trail run. Definitely not 5.4 miles. Confirmed this with a run today along with the park trail map (more like 2-3). Beautiful open space in the full sun, with views of the mountains.
