Big open area with tons of birds. Saw multiple people fishing. Definitely no swimming. There's also a huge playground for kids. Nice spot.

Nice walk if you stay close to lake and not up by the road. Clusters of cottonwoods here and there for shade as even in the morning it was hot but it’s mid August. Lightly trafficked.

Tons of goose poop on path. Water was green and smelled swampy.

Good place to fish after work or when you don't have time to drive anywhere. Not the prettiest as a walk, but then again, it's so close to lots of urban neighborhoods!

There are some fishing restrictions, so check the sign near the restrooms.

Nice views of the mountains and the lake. A bit narrow with tall grass on the east loop.

This is a nice little lake in the middle of a neighborhood. It’s a quite area, so you can hear birds and see a few varieties around the lake. The 1+ mile path around the lake is paved. There was a nice breeze today, but there is no shade on the path. This lake is only a couple miles from our townhome, so very accessible for a quick walk. Also, it has easy access to put in kayaks.

Great way to start my day either walking or jogging with or without the dog. Great bike riding as well. Trail runs right through my backyard practically. Couldn't ask for more. Love this trail!!

flat trail and not great scenary but relatively quiet and very near Denver

Nice trail with great views of the lake! Lots of prairie dogs!!

Good trail for riding leisurely with kids in the bike trailer

This is my go-to trail when I need an escape. It’s close to my house and the view of the mountains is great! Unfortunately the trail doesn’t go around the entire lake; I always park at the parking lot on Simms and 86th and when you get to the West side of the lake there’s a fence and you have to turn around.

This trail is a causal walking trail, great for beginners and families and dogs. There are a few different paths to take with lots of cute little prairie dogs, runners, bikers, people fishing and sometimes horseback riders on the trail. If you walk next to the water there are bugs.

Convenient from Arvada and surrounding areas. Very easy walk around Standley Lake with views of the Foothills. There are also prairie dogs to see right by the parking lot and throughout the trail.
