Spectacular views! It’s a very short and easy hike with a lot of reward. The snow was packed down so no snow shoes or spikes were needed.

Beautiful covered in snow. Took my dog for a walk - can make it as short or as long as you’d like.

Nice and well maintained cement trail that is right next to highway and creek. There are some areas that feel secluded even though you are still next to hwy 6. Definitely not hard at all. I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for something more challenging and adventurous. It's just good for a nice stroll along the river/highway.

hate to see needles here

This is a scenic route that passes through open land as well as through local neighborhoods. Is paved.

Completed 1/6/18. Wonderful walking path, mostly snow plowed, but there were some snow covered icy spots along the path. Looks like they had an ice skating rink.

This is a fun run, though I've never done the east end beyond 119. Running through Longmont, you'll pass a number of bodies of water, decent shade, and the St. Vrain. Some of the trail to the near west of Main St. is not repaired. This is a must-do trail if you are visiting Longmont.

I live nearby so run there every so often. It's not a special trail for running but having the water there is nice to look at.

This is a diverse and intimate lake neighborhood trail preserved so far - although high rises are going up on the south side of the lake and we neighbors must protect the sanctity of this lake with its inevitable increase in traffic. There is room for all but we must keep it pristine. I’ve been glad to see recent running paths installed and real care for the lake. There are beautiful birds and muskrats here. It would be great if motor boats were prohibited - in the summer it is always one or two out there tearing around. The lake itself changes faces daily if you observe.

Nice local trail, the river and trail have moved from how they are marked on the app after the 2013 flood.

Wonderful little city trail that feels like a little prairie dog and rabbit wonderland! There is a sweet lake and it was very quiet as well. Fabulous little running path in the city. Not a destination trail but if you are near it and need a leg stretch - it’s perfect!

Completed this hike with my family on 12/31/18. It was sub-zero temperature and snowing pretty heavily when we were out there but we thoroughly enjoyed the walk around a partially frozen creek with excellent photo op spots. We did not have much time on hour hands so this turned out to be a nice choice. We had snow boots with traction devices attached but I think we could have done it without them. Overall a relaxing and easy loop around the creek. We probably did a 1.5 mile loop and not the entire 11+ miles as listed here.

I have lived near and utilized this lake and its playgrounds since 2005. Sometimes I forget to appreciate what a gem it is on the western edge of Denver with a great view of the city skyline. I’m excited that the city is currently putting in a jogging path to allow me to run off of the concrete. I will likely do many more runs there now that that is in place. Often an interesting place to Bird for waterfowl, especially during the winter and spring and fall migration.

My last hike of the year. My first time on this trail, and I was impressed. The climb was not real steep, and for those spots that were steep, benches were available here and there on the trail to rest a moment. Arriving at 10am on a cold morning had a fairly empty parking lot. Which tells me early arrival in warmer months is probably well advised.

Beautiful short hike when you're tired from longer or higher hikes.

Nice and easy hike around the lake with beautiful views. We did ours on 12/27 while it was -12C around 10:30 am. It was super cold and windy. We saw people skating and walking on the lake, which was frozen. Good option for kids.

Our family enjoys this trail every few months. We've had amazing encounters with wildlife each time! Deer, squirrels, snakes, and birds galore!

Beautiful!

Paved path. Easy. Nice views.

Great trail for long boarding! Smooth the whole way and it’s got a few neat things to see along the way.

A couple couples making out all over. Should be called ‘sapphire love point’ in my opinion.

Easy for the out-of-towners but still well worthwhile.

good for long runs close to home

I don't have a dog, but on my hike, I noticed this dog park. It was fun to watch the pups off leash running and playing. We designed to allow the dogs plenty of freedom. The views are amazing and the paved trail makes it easy for all visitors to enjoy.

Perfect, simple hike offering spectacular views of Dillon Reservoir and the surrounding mountains. Enter the trail on the right side of the parking lot as suggested in the AllTrails app, and you'll save the best view for last!
