The hike wasn't hard at all and you'll get plenty of picture opportunities once you get to the end.

Great trail! lots of inclines to get your heart rate up for a good workout close to home. Trail surround by flowers and nice hilly view. Dog friendly.

Esta muy bien es corto hay subidas y bajadas y muy divertido va mucha gente a caminar

It’s okay not very green more like bushes, trees and dead grass

Potato Harbor was amazing at sunset! We were camping in the upper loop and left for Potato Harbor about an hour before sundown. We took the coastal trail instead of the harbor road in both directions, and there was breathtaking scenery throughout! Be sure to stay after sunset to catch the best colors. Easy walk ocean setting

This is a great hike if you enjoy something calm and easy that will give you a beautiful view of the lake! I recommend it if you’re with kids or have bad knees. Not much incline and it’s a steady hike. Would come back again!

Started from the Cavern Point trailhead and added an additional mile of amazing views along the bluffs. Had plenty of time for the trail, a long break at the overlook, and a chance to relax on the beach before the boat returned to the dock.

Trail was busy with other daytrippers. Great views. Caterpillars, birds, and some friendly bees. Good hike for kids as it is quite level with minimal elevation gain.

Sign up for a free, legal, group hike through Rancho Ventura Conservation Trust http://www.venturaconservation.com/ (Events).

Amazing recovery after the fire is in process! Easy access and a good workout. Go back on the trail along the other side of the park rather than back the way you came to make it a true loop.

Great trail, beautiful views and lots of interesting plants in the spring

Love this hike to Ventura’s most prominent landmark.

This hike is fairly easy. I carried my 9month old in a carrier on me and slowed at some points due to steep inclines. I went on a Wednesday and there was a fair amount of people. Lots of different entrances to this. Once you pull in the parking lot, if you drive all the way to the baseball field and park you will find other entrances. The fire was detrimental to the area but it seems like the ash produced richer soil and the growth it has regained is beautiful. Stay off burn areas as posted but take in how beautiful all the flowers and new greenery looks.

This is the prettiest family hike if you are in the Scorpion Beach area. It is an easy hike and the views are spectacular. Definitely worth your time, especially if you area a daytripper and only have time to do one quick hike. Our group seen an island fox in hunting action.

We added the Cavern Point Loop hike for an extra 1 1/2 to 2 miles.

Great trail

The trail is open with some fire damage but growing back beautifully! I took my 8 month old puppy and she loved it! Absolutely gorgeous trail with some good inclines for a nice workout. I wore my hiking boots but saw others in regular tennis shoes.

This was a great trail. Yes, I’m a rebel and ignored the signs, but it was definitely worth it.

Great hike. Always busy with friendly people and dogs.

This was an easy hike with spectacular views of the coastline. We saw the island foxes, a bush sunflower, lizards, and heard the seals barking as we peered down the steep cliffs of Potato Harbor.

Flat, easy and fun. Walk on the promenade or the sand. You can go as far E as Marina Park and W, gee, I think to Solimar. Lots of fun. Easy and relaxing. Take a little windbreaker, especially if you start out after 10 AM, even if you don’t think you’ll need it. I live along the promenade and there’s only maybe 5 days out of an entire year that the wind isn’t blowing in from the west...

Super fun local uphill trek. Catch fabulous views of the city and pier. You can keep going up, just follow the dirt path. The trail ends at the shooting range, but if you still want to go further, pick up the botanical garden trail. Lots of fun. Bring water; it’s hot and dusty and you’ll get thirsty.

Great local trail. Well traveled and safe. I think it’s still closed due to Thomas fire damage.

Drove all the way out there from West LA to find out the park was closed due to the fires. It was such a sad vision and my heart goes out to those that live around there, but it would’ve been nice for All Trails to update/mention which trails are closed on their app. The low rating is for All Trails not the actual trail. Love and light to the county of Ventura.

Nice hike. Great views. The Ventura Botanical gardens are gone now. Thomas fire burned the area down. Fee parking.

Great city. Beautiful. Parking is free in some sections of beach. Empty on weekdays. Train stops right in front of Ventura county fairgrounds.

I started behind City Hall and entered the botanical garden. If you hike to the very top beyond the roads you will have the best view.

Beach views but lots of traffic nearby. Ending up at the pier is amazing.
