Great trail. There is parking at the bottom and at the top. As you get closer to the top there is limited shade. Seems like it would be a great mountain biking trail. Worth the trip but if you do the 10 or the full 20 bring plenty of water.

Lots of traffic, walkers and bicycles. Besides that good for kids.

Great trail, friendly folks, easy-mod hike. Dogs have a great time but keep an eye on them because there is natural tar/sulphur which is a pain to remove. Views are worth the work out.

I went early Sunday morning, the parking area is closed but you can park on the road. I went early but I'm sure it gets packed later in the day on weekends. I really enjoyed to hike and I would call it a moderate hike, there seems to be more trails further back that I plan to do in a few days. There was beautiful wild flowers, my daughter had a great time picking flowers.

closed due to Covid19

Nice park with great little trail. You can see the islands in the distance. Some parts of the trail are a little over grown with wild flowers and there were lots of bee's. A Striped Racer ran out in front of me chasing a lizard. Currently you can't park your vehicle inside the park, and street parking fills up fast. I reccomend getting here early.

Great short trail - it overviews the city of Ventura. It takes about an hour or so to accomplished and most of it is very steep in the beginning but definitely worth the view. Once arriving to the edge of the mountain it overviews the ocean and city of Ventura. It’s small hike and does not take all day. Most of the time I use this trail for a light workout and run.

Fun little hike in our own backyard. With the hike up to the avocado trees (or where they used to be) you can get your heart rate up super high. Great for when there is little time to drive to a more remote destination.

Nice fire road, went about 5 miles then turned around. Good amount of bikers and not all of them have bells so be alert! Some shade in the beginning but mainly a sunny trail.

Good dirt road with views and cows to watch over you.

Всем привет. Хороший, не сложный хайк. 10 миль в каждую сторону, учтите это.

not a bad hike. the trail was a little overgrown though

Pretty heavy traffic, so a lot of dogs out there. Nice white trail not too steep of a grade not technical. Some really awesome views I recommend for anybody in the Ojai, Ventura, Santa Paula area.

Really nice trail- you can make it a difficult hike if you want by taking different trails. The loop is pretty even the entire time and a great, short hike in the springtime!

Fun hike with a decent little climb. Nice views too. Rewarding and worthwhile. Good place to contemplate any life dilemmas.

This is a nice urban trail. It starts at the beach and winds its way through downtown Ventura up to the cross. Once at the cross if you walk diagonally through the parking lot you will see a trail head. This trailhead is posted, “hike at your own risk.” The hike up this trail is a bit more than a 1/4 mile and is fairly steep. It gets the heart pumping a bit. The trails are also used by mountain bikers so be observant. The trails are adjacent to the botanical garden hike which zig zags down the hill. The only caveat is the cost of hiking the botanical trail is 6 bucks each. Overall its a simple hike but the view at the top is beautiful!
