Great trail, beautiful views! Would put this towards more moderate but well worth it. We got there early, 8.30am Saturday morning and were only a couple of other people around. Got a lot busier on the way back around 11am.

The most amazing views! Seriously!

One of my favorite hikes in L.A. if you want to make this hike more challenging, there is an alternate route that will turn this into a 5 mile loop. From the main entrance on los liones, go left and down to cross the concrete. Follow the trail and about 50 meters in you will see another trail on your left that goes up the steep hillside. From there it is 1.4 miles to parker mesa overlook but be warned it is quite steep. You will gain 1300 feet in 1.4 miles, expect to cover this distance in 45 minutes to an hour depending on how many breaks you take. Shoes with good traction are recommended. I take this way up and the regular easy way down to make it a loop, going back this way is not recommended as it is quite steep.

A moderate hike, mostly uphill. Try to start in the afternoon after the fog is lifted otherwise you won't get much of a view.

Beautiful views, I would do this trail again.

I liked this trail .. but I like all trails. The way to get there is kinda tricky once you turn on old canyon road you go thru this narrow but windy road that leads to the dirt road wich you have to go thru. Then you pay 5 dollars wich you put in a envelope and put in box rip top part of envelope that is the permit and proof of payment. Trail is quiet and beautiful. Only thing I did not like it is not properly signed meaning there is no sign on the trail to let you know where you are and other trails along the way. Overall great work out . Ooh nd lots of ants

Really pretty drive and views! Gets pretty windy so make sure to bring a jacket. Definitely a good idea to have the exact $5 for parking, and a pen! This was a great escape from the city

Very nice trail with the Canyons at the end. It took us 1:55min to finish it.

One of my favorite LA hikes; nice views and a good workout.

Great fun with kids. We scrambled the rocks early on, up to the top. Good shade from tree cover. Nice views.

A nice light hike. The big rock formations are early on the trail if you want to do some scrambling. There is a $5 dollar parking fee at the trailhead - there were no rangers to make change so bring small bills.

Super easy fire road trail. Beautiful views.

Incredible views! Beautiful hike. Our dogs loved it too.

The views are fantastic!! Good calorie burner too

Really awesome view of the LA coast and Malibu. Not a big park. Went jogging here.

This is a moderately difficult hike. Steep up hill and down. Beautiful views are your reward.

We loved the varying scenery of this hike and the step incline at the end to make it a true workout. Perfect length for a Sunday morning hike and just wish I knew it was a $5 parking fee so we could have had exact change. Don’t be fooled by the dirt one way road, there is a nice parking lot once you get to the end.

It was a bit confusing to find the starting point, but once we got on the trail it’s pretty smooth hike.

Beautiful scenery

Beautiful scenery, lots of greens and shades. Great exercise! Really enjoyed the hike.

Easy trail open spaces and you are not too exposed.

This was my first time and I really loved this moderate hike! Great climb straight up if you take the adjacent smaller trail instead of the main trail!

Absolutely gorgeous and it felt like I truly worked out. Heart rate monitor stayed at 165bpm! Willl be back!

It isn't really easy...more like moderate in my opinion...1,300 ft of elevation gain after all.

Not very difficult. Great views overlooking LA, check it out if you're in the area.

My favorite trail in LA! It's a long one but the view at the end is worth all your hard work

Different terrain than other hikes in the area. Great views also! Steep trails, but all on a wide dirt road.
