Very lightly trafficated on a Sunday at 1pm, despite quarantine madness. A nice steep hike that makes you feel alive. Nice views. We weren’t sure when it ended and then it turned out to be connected to another trail so we went back. Zero shade, so just be aware. No issues with poop on trails despite it being dog friendly (always appreciated).

Nice trail. A bit rocky in some parts, but manageable. All-in-all a solid hike w nice breaks of shade & elevation changes throughout the trail.

This hike is tough mid-day with there being little to no shade. We hiked almost to the end of the trail and would have loved to go further to see the beach. I do not at all recommend bringing your dog or kids on this hike unless it’s a cool day or you plan on going in the cooler time of the day. Lightly trafficked and will do again in the future with no pets!

Great trail, no terrible inclines. Good for dogs and kids. No trash cans, so bring your own trash bags! Watch out for snakes.

This was everything I look for in a hike. The entire trail was lined with different types of flowers and butterflies. I was worried by the reviews that said there was a steep incline, but I didn’t see it that way at all. There would be relatively flat sections followed by a few rocks you need to step up. Great payoff at the end with a view of the ocean. The trail was narrow, which was fine because not a lot of people were out.

Fun trail, slightly elevated. I recommend going early in the morning since there’s no shade anywhere—beat the heat of the sun!

Lots of cyclists on Mulholland portion. Tons of wildflowers and butterflies.

Good for biking.

Beautiful trail the entire way through! You have the serene green trees and then the blue ocean in the distance. The path is a little overgrown but nothing unmanageable at all!! Relatively easy hike and well worth it!

Usually love this trail but was super overgrown when I went today - wear pants! Also kept hearing rattling noises and was a bit freaked out

Great trail although I had trouble finding parking and had to hike just to get to the starting point. I started off right then went left at the junction to get to eagle rock because it was much faster. If you go right, you go in a big loop and hit eagle rock on the way back. At 10am there weren’t a ton of people so I went to eagle rock first to get photos. After eagle rock you continue to hub junction. I tried to find Temescal point to spice the trail up a big but couldn’t find it so I doubled back to hub junction before completed the part of the loop I hadn’t hiked yet. There weren’t a ton of people on the trails until I got to Musch trail to begin heading to my car. This trail is much more narrow and several times I was hugged against a tree to let people go by. You do get to pass through Musch camp which is nice to know a spot to camp in the future (closed now due to COVID). Overall it’s a nice 8 configuration that gives you a chance to see eagle rock, hub junction and possibly venture off to other parts of topanga canyon. I did this on 3/22/2020 and it was busier then expected but also the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. ***Looking for hiking buddies if interested***

Long open trail and it does not have much shade, you must stay hydrated at all times. The trail is not hard but it has it’s elevation points, towards the end the view is worth it.

Great views. All fire road. Can be easily extended by heading toward the Palisades. Not much up and down unless you take the side trails to the peaks, most are on the Palisades extension. At end of the trail, I turned a corner and two young bucks were grazing just off the trail, and they didn’t spook!
