No shade, beautiful views, rocky, steep drops on both sides, great palm canyon with many trees and running water, trouble with clear path, winter hike.

nice little hike up on the ridge.

crowded and once you get out of the grove pretty average.

No signs for this but it’s easy to find across the parking lot from the paved loop trail. It takes a beautiful view to a slightly more beautiful view. Makes for some good photos of the people enjoying the view down below. Only saw 1 other hiker on this trail. Good for peak baggers I suppose

The 7 km walk is turned into a tough walk with 30 degree Celsius temp. Bring lots of water as the sweat runs out quickly.

No shade. McCallum pond closed. Closed Monday and Tuesday.

This trail is open up until the McCallum oasis/pond, as is the connection to Moon Country Canyon. The only thing closed is access to the pond, which is undergoing restoration for desert pupfish until mid next year. You can approach close enough for a good view of McCallum Oasis from outside, but you cant enter and see the pond.

A nice morning hike. There really are hidden palms...just keep going. It was fun.

This trail as shown is a bit of a misnomer, as it does not access Hidden Palms, but does give you nice views of Pushwalla Palms. We hiked this in the evening from 3-5 pm, it was cool and the evening light was gorgeous. The trail gives great views of the Little San Bernadinos, Coachella Valley and the San Gabriels. The trail as shown does not access Pushwalla Palms directly, but it is possible to hike down a short steep trail at the end of the loop and wander along the palms for a bit. Trail marked as heavily trafficked but we had the place to ourselves on a Saturday evening

Go counterclockwise. First mile is deep sand then very rocky. Signs are not that great. Thank goodness for AllTrails map!

Novice hiker here. lol Drove out early (6 am) to hike & watch the sun rise over the valley. Not quite! Posted at the trail head: "Private property, do not enter, gates open at 8 am" really bummed me out!10/20/2019 So I drove back down the road a very short bit to an open trail head, walked & climbed a hill and was able to watch the sun rise over the valley from there. yeah! update: After returning at 8am, I ran into a small bird watching group about to go on a hike. I was pleasantly pleased walking with them pointing out birds and nature along the way. After about an hr or so they turned back & I kept hiking & competing the loop. Oasis in the desert! a definate must see!

The keys view loop is not really a hike, it’s more of a lookout point! Well worth going to, there’s awesome views. It was extremely windy when we were out there which made it a little more fun. The inspiration point trail was not clear to me.

The short Keys View Loop is very easy with amazing views. The Inspiration Point trail should be considered a separate trail that is moderate/intermediate. It is not marked at all and you need hiking experience to be able to determine which way the trail goes. Other than that, it was an enjoyable hike with amazing views.

This place is amazing! There are several trails, an oasis and a pond close by and well marked. Even passed a guided tour. The original path on map on here is off.

We went on a hike with friends at 6 AM after a night of rain. The ground was damp in some areas but not muddy. We followed the trail along the ridge and not far along the ridge we encountered our first rattlesnake. In the middle of the path. After scaring it off of the path we continued to the fork and took the north fork. The path down to the palms was steeper than I expected and that's where we found another rattlesnake. The palms were pretty thick on one side. We were able to make our way through but the stream was swarming with bees. In the palms we saw a cooper's hawk and a couple kestrels. We made our way down the wash but missed the trailhead for the rest of the loop because it was labeled Hidden Palms. We doubled back to find the trailhead but also missed the turn and ended up reconnecting with the trail at the top of the ridge. Overall it was a nice hike. The ridge had good views and we got to see the sunrise from there. Except the bees, the bugs weren't too bad and there were a good number of birds. Since we started early we didn't get sun till we were on our way back which was nice. I do wish the trail was better marked closer to the palms.
