Not any shade, didn’t feel particularly easy, but still a great hike with great views.

We didn't do the full loop. Someone had told us where to find fossils, so we ventured onto the ridges to look. We went on 6/9/18....there were a TON of Rattlesnakes. We saw one about 6-7 feet, we also saw one that was about 1 foot, so younger. Be very careful with your kids and pets! They were directly on the main trail. One was in a hole... keep your kids hands out of holes. We did have fun on the hike, and did get to see some fossils. There is very limited shade, so keep that in mind. This seems like it would be a fun sunset hike.

This hike was awesome! Seriously there’s so many different trails I’d have to come back several times to try them all out. Bring plenty of water & have fun!

nice trailrunning, beautiful views

Great for dogs! Good parking and beautiful bridge entrance.

Great For trail running!

China Flat semi loop w/Semi Peak. 6.1 miles total. If you're interested in this check out the recording under the China Flat Trail 3/18/18. Started 1400 King James Court and went up China Flat trail, then to Simi Peak trail. On the way back we to took Suicide Trail back to China Flat. It was a sunny but really nice day. Not too warm and every once in a while got just a tad chilly. But really it was perfect. This would be really tough on a hot day, there is just a couple of small spots with shade. Beautiful views. We were able to see mountain tops with snow (one of which should be Mt. Baldy but i can't tell) and also channel islands.

Challenging areas of the trail leading to amazing views!

No lake anywhere in site. Pretty boring, you just walk along tract homes

Great little hike with my dog. Not very much shade so go in the morning. Great views and lots of other trails to explore if you want to add some mileage.

beautiful landscape views from atop the ridges

Not a good trail

Lots of clean trails amazing views even a couple picnic places that on the hike. Highly recommend it

Hiked this for the first time today with a friend! EASY trail and fun!

We hiked this trail in December, but it was still very sunny and hot. Hats are a must. There is more elevation than I expected for a trail rated EASY. As long as you’re not expecting a trail your grandmother could do easily, you’ll love it. The views are amazing! We could see not only the ocean but one of the Channel Islands as well. Since there are trailheads and parking on both ends, you could do this hike as a shuttle. Best to go from Sunset Hill to Erbes for the views.

As a Chicagoan with only chipped limestone paths with gentle rolling "hills" this was a challenge for sure. A few descents were steep enough that running wasn't an option. Great challenge.

A shout-out to this app: without the map I would have been lost or at least adding miles down another path. I did not have the time for that so the map keeping me on track was appreciated.

Thoroughly enjoyed the hike and enjoyed the views. Markings were great in some areas and I was glad we had gps in others. The last leg through a suburban neighborhood was not my favorite part.

Did this as an out and back instead of a loop. As others have said, great workout & good view. Not busy at all even on a Sunday afternoon. Bring water & sunscreen.

Starts off with decent climb then levels out. When staying with friends in T.O. it was a nice workout off the street.

Went out with my son on a Boy Scout hike with full packs at 9am. The temperature rose quickly and there was not a lot of shade on the trail. There was only one reckless mountain biker. But otherwise the trail was quiet and only locals were out doing their daily loops. It is really a great view and just enough ascent and descent to get a solid workout.

This is my local loop. Went out with my son and scaled the summit in about 45min. Pretty steep, but enjoyable. We did see a large snake (2.5 ft) at the top. Added a little skip to our step on the way down. Provides a good view of the opposing range.

We added on the extra 1.1mi loop and that was the only decent part, it had views of the reservoir and of Simi Valley. The rest of the hike was along a barb wire fence and near houses. Also the hike seemed more moderate than easy with multiple inclines.

Nice trail, but the waterfall and the river are partial urban runoff (which means they smell horrible, and the water is inaccessible). There are official signs that tell you this. Otherwise the majority of the trail is pleasant.

Wide leveled trail at the beginning, good for passing hikers/horses.

Very steep initial ascent up to Mugu peak right from the parking lot, so be ready. Very little shade, almost none. Lots of people on the trail for first few miles, parking lot was full too. No bathrooms. Past the first several miles, the trail is overgrown with vegetation, and you have to bushwhack. Views are spectacular.

There is a lot of sun on this trail. From Paradise falls it is pretty steep to lizard rock. Still some nice water in the creek and a small waterfall.
