Hard to find where to access trail from streets. Do not take Santa Anita rd, it is washed out. Trail definitely overgrown at beginning, but liked the flat areas for viewing. part of road back to chapparal drive was washed out too.

4.11.20 - beautiful day out after all the rain. The dry creek bed you cross at the beginning was flowing pretty heavy, was about knee deep to get across. We went 5 miles up and it was just beautiful....I've done this trail before a few times, but this was by far the best with all the water flowing. There was one other small creek crossing that was easy to do by stepping on rocks. There were a few other spots but not bad to just step across. The trail is in great condition and wasn't very crowded today. On the way out, we spoke to the camp host who said that the trails are closed as of 5pm today due to COVID 19. Glad we got our miles in today!

Awesome trail, 10 out of 10 would do again. Recommend hiking boots if you plan on going far, very rocky and narrow about the half way point to the end.

Totally worth it. The beginning started in some loose gravel but such a great place once you get to the end.

This trail is beautiful. It’s uphill but not steep a slow incline. Not too challenging so you can go for a long ways. Lots of shade and birds. Beautiful plants and the sound of the creek is also relaxing.

Can’t believe I live seven miles away and never did this hike. Absolutely loved it, even the fallen trees, it made it feel like a spartan race if you will. It is however challenging! Not for the faint of heart.

Nice, simple loop that’s about 1 mile. Pond with ducks (can’t feed them). Bikes, skates or scooters good fit.

We did the full Agua Tibia loop — started at Wild Horse Trail to Dripping Springs Trail. On Wild Horse Trail at approximately miles 11 and 13 there were fallen trees and thorny bushes. Someone had recently trimmed some of the bushes. The trail is not completely clear but it is passable. Fun trail; beautiful views!

Super overgrown at the beginning! But once you get about a mile in it’s easy! And beautiful + sooo green!

Great trail with fantastic views. There are a lot of people but everyone is super friendly. You have the view of the poppies and temecula. Great for running, hiking and for dogs if kept on a leash. No bikes are allowed on the trail. The incline is not that steep and but it does get rocky in some parts. There are parts that are shaded and parts that are not. So bring sunscreen and water. Overall we had a great time! The $5.00 parking fee is well worth it. The trail is kept tidy and clean. I brought my 8 year old niece and she loved it. We did 3 miles in for a total of 6 miles. I would not recommend this trail for little kids. The trail narrows and widens in different areas so I would say 6-7 and up. Unless they are in a hiking backpack. The trail starts all the way at the end of the campsites. So you have to walk about 1/2 mile to get there. Otherwise, great trail! We will be returning soon.

The springs is a lie

First time hiking in the Agua Tibia Wilderness. Hiked 7.5 miles out and then back for a 15 mile day. The views were amazing, Feb when it is cool outside is the perfect time to be out here! Flower petals dropping - almost looked like snow. Such a beautiful hike! Perfect amount of up and down! Only downside - my husband and I found ticks on us when we got home, and our dog had them all over. We had quite a time making sure they were all eradicated! This is not a 12 mile hike - probably more like 10 or so each way. Br prepared with headlamps if you leave late. If you park at the entrance there is no gate and if you park outside the entrance, no fee. So the sign says.

Beautiful, manicured trail with Southern California weather. Great day out and a nice long hike to the top.
