First time on this trail. Make sure you don't miss a turn or you'll end up going farther than what you planned.
The elevation definitely got my heart pumping, but it wasn't a steep incline.
Narrow passage going back down, plenty of shade.
Lots of rocks, so watch your step.
Watch out for dog poop!

A fun, relatively easy hike. I recommend also hiking the Farmer's Ridge Fire Road, an out and back which adds an additional mile or so, taking you further into the park.

This is one of my favorite trails in LA! Beware there's little shade in the first part but this trail is incredible early in the morning. Ample parking and just difficult enough to get me into shape

Dogs are allowed but be aware there are coyotes. I was with my daughter and two dogs. A coyote came up behind us and I think he was eyeing the smaller dog. Be careful!!

Very simple hike. Very little shade. Watch where you step

This is a pretty neat hike. There are a lot of different trails here, so just make sure you know which one you're going up. The trail to the far left is my favorite. It has plenty of shade, but it's a bit of an incline, particularly at the beginning. I've run into snakes here and they didn't make any noise, so always know where you're stepping.

Great hike but not a lot of shade on the way up. The incline isn’t too steep here, but when you factor in the heat it feels like the trail never ends. I would recommend going either early it be morning or later in the evening. I went at noon like a moron. Happy hiking!

Great wide open paths in the beginning, Beautiful wildflowers, unmarked trail going back down, path narrow and overgrown, lots of bees and lizards. I would’ve been lost without the “AllTrails” map -super helpful

Beautiful and lightly trafficked at sunset.

Great little trail. First mile out is pretty flat before you hit the climbing for another half mile. You reach a fire road and have the option of entering some single track routes, but you have to look for them. Route is about 60% shade. Definitely coming back to explore the other single track routes.

This is a great sunset hike as there is not a lot of shade and the valley sun can be brutal. Great views of valley and the ocean. Most of the way up is pretty steep so be ready and wear good shoes. Lots of easy street parking.

This is a great hike. Not a lot of traffic and goes from small trail to wide open at parts, so it has variety and a great view of the valley. Kind of a rocky and uneven trail with some erosion in places, so watch your step.
