Good for an hour walk. Check the high tide!

This trail doesn’t go to lighthouse, it’s about 6 miles drive south

Easy walk on Alameda South Shore. Great views of the bay and the city along the beach.

There is a couple of benches towards the end of the trail that overlook the beach. Very beautiful coastal scenery! Visited 8/5/2018

It is paved and goes mostly through a golf club. It was awful.

Not a good beach day, overcast and foggy; water was refreshing regardless. This is an easy stroll along the beach, which is flat, wide and open; were lots of dogs running around. Several access points.

What a wonderful place. Beautiful views from the cliff top, saw an incredibly elegant Grey Heron that was patient enough to let me take some great photos, some kind of bird of prey hovering literally right at eye level and, if you’re OK with a steep descent, an almost deserted beach to walk. Totally recommended.

Don't know why this is listed as a trail, it's a lovely, easy beach walk. Not many people unless it's a hot (70) day.

love the view, is very relaxing

Just hiked this yesterday to gauge my hiking level. Would not suggest a beginner to hike this because getting to the Cross is pretty steep. But once you get there it is Oh-So-Worth-It. Magnificent views.

Lady at the gate says it’s private and won’t let us in. She said it’s okay to walk there though.

Iconic, love it. Fav surf spot in town too!

Don't bother unless you like visiting the dump.

this beach is very beautiful! there were a good number of surfers. the hike down was easy, and there are a couple of alternate "bushwhacking" routes if you feel more adventurous than the paved road. you get to enjoy stunning views of the ocean through the small canyon you hike down to the beach. the hike out is steep, but it's no sweat. well maybe, a touch... lol

Beautiful views and beautiful beach w/ many surfers and paragliders!! Highly recommend. The hike down is a piece of cake but the hike up is a tough one.

Taken this trail many times to get to south shore.

Beautiful hike! Quite steep in some parts but relaxing in the caves with a view of the ocean was the best part.

Great hike done a long time ago. It was done in the spring and was very cool and windy. Awesome...

Cool hike! Caves are neat. I would say kid friendly if 6 or older. 4 year old had trouble with the steep parts. My two year old got a shoulder ride once we were off the paved path. Short hike but definitely moderate due to steep trail.

Road biking. Ocean view. Very easy

Strenuous but so incredibly satisfying. There are some whale bones at Tennessee Beach. Pretty cool!

This is a very well maintained trail that has amazing views of the ocean. Take the Pirates Cove Trail if you like seeing the ocean.

Windy, so bring a windbreaker.

Just a beautiful walk on the beach in Pacifica

Fun walk for kids

Easy stroll. Good to see and hear sea lions.

Definitely scenic! You have to go before high tide or you’ll get trapped between the rock and water. We walked the full distance to Point Conception, but there isn’t a way to access the light house or the church. You can see it from below, but if you plan on walking there, you have to drive a ways to see it. Not a lot of people walking on the trail with you. Take plenty of water with you. The breeze was amazing as were some of the views. Also, the terrain wasn’t that challenging. Just a nice walk.

One the most beautiful area to walk, run or bike.

I would like to say it was hiking, but it was more walking along a nude beach for most of the stretch. Be forewarned there are a ton of clothing optional ladies and gents out there, mostly gents. You will probably feel very much out of place and over dressed but once you get past the first 3 miles of nudity (mostly males) there’s a good 3 or miles of terrain trail. Let me be clear as I should have read more of these reviews before I went. It’s not really a hike as much as it is a beach walk/run with a decent terrain at the end. If you’re reading this and it’s too late and you’ve already encountered too much skin exposure for a day you can take the roads back to the trail head.
Best of luck my friends.
P.S. I gave 2 Stars because I’m still recovering from the views.
But credit to the last 3 miles of the actual hike trek there were really good views of NATURE there.

Great family hike. Very beautiful views.

Great for hiking with kids and grandparents

I am in no shape of form a hiker. This trail was supper fun and I brought my 4yr old with me and she handled it like a champ. I definitely felt the burn during the hike but it was doable and I had a blast
