Fairly easy, well trafficked even in winter. Nice views looking up! Some small streams to cross and one spot with scrambling in the winter. Best spots are after the lake when it gets quiet!

A nice little park, went there yesterday afternoon around 4. Wasn't very crowded, probably more people fishing than running, walking, or biking. Lots of aquatic birds.

There was a week of rain, a day of clouds, and this trail helped me celebrate the sunshine. It was wet and there was some mud, but it wasn't impassible. Gorgeous views and very little traffic once you're off the pavement.

Simply one of my very favorite places in San Diego. A gorgeous trail around the lake great for walking, jogging or biking. Go before sunset and the air is crisp and cool. I love the smell of the eucalyptus trees here!

Paved, sparsely used trail in a green belt along the power lines. The area is not well maintained and several homeless individuals were camped along the path, but the pavement is in good condition for biking or walking. Level path connects with the Virginia Corridor Parkway, which could add another 5+ miles of distance. Several street crossings along the way usually aren't a big deal.

Pretty trail in winter.

As long as you know you are going on a paved walk... it’s good. This is for sure easy. Not moderate. Good walk for rainy times when dirt trails are closed.

We really enjoyed the hike. Very crowded on the paved trail, but majority of traffic was gone once got on the dirt. Some nice hills for this old and out of shape hiker and great views of the reservoir and Mount Diablo. We will definitely be doing this hike again before it starts heating up. Looks like it could be a hot and dusty summer hike/run. But, was great today in spite of a little mud from recent rains.

This was a great trail with mountain views of San Bernardino and Riverside county. There is plenty of wildlife to view. Today it was coyotes and woodpeckers. Recent rain made the trail slippery. Awesome views of meadows and California live oaks.

Great walk for my dog. The trail isn’t overly used, so the only sounds you hear are birds.

Easy access. Paved

Super easy, beautiful views.

This is a paved 5.4-mile trail (out and back) that used to be a railroad track. It's essentially flat except for one bridge over the road. There are a number of smaller road crossings with crosswalks and signals. Though it goes through town, it's peaceful with some separation from the neighborhoods that surround it. Several parks can be found along the trail. Bikes and strollers can easily maneuver here. It's a great community amenity.

This place is adorable. It was easy, but still really enjoyable. I'd say family friendly for kids to go on a little nature hike.

It was a nice paved path, benches along the way.
yes it would be good for bikes.
Easy walk , a few people out today.

The trees are absolutely magnificent. It''s a really easy drive from Bakersfield and it gets pretty nice when you get closer, as the forest gets more dense. It's a simple walk a long a paved path so you can take anyone young or old. If you're looking for something a little more adventuresome, take the same road a little farther north and head up Dome Rock for great views.

Easy hike as long as you take the stairs down (as we did) and complete the loop from there, clockwise. Very cool to see the old ruins!

Overated. To many people and dogshit everywhere.
