Moderate trail with pretty views of the valley. Appropriate for children, too. Closed until sept 2018.

This trail is CLOSED for rehabilitation until September 2018!

Love this trail, sad to see it close as they have to rebuild it due to extreme fire damage.

This is one of the first hiking spots I went on once I moved to California. I love it !! it's great for beginners and experts alike.

Really nice hike. A bit rocky to be rated as easy. We encountered probably ten deer, none of them seemed to care that we were there.

No trespassing!

Great little hike with some nice views! Went mid-morning during the week and only saw a handful of other people.

This trail is closed for a year due to fire damage.

Great moderate loop hike, with wine at the beginning and end.

Short, easy hike with a great view at the top. Enjoy.

Great hike, dog friendly, and near a winery - you can't beat it. You'll get a solid workout! Multiple uphill climbs but enough breaks to make you forget that your glutes were en fuego.

Great trail

It's a bike path, very low key.

Close to home and town, gets a bit crowded for passing at times but very enjoyable. Great views and lots of gorgeous plants, rocks and critters.

great hike in a beautiful setting, especially after all the rain.

We really enjoyed this hike. Our dog did as well even though she did get wet crossing the little creeks along the way. We are here in April when there have been a lot of heavy rains this year.

I hike this along with Montini two to three times a week . I love it every time I do it and that's why I keep doing it. Also do not hike out of bounds at the very top. As tempting as it may be do not do it especially during the summer time. It is rattlesnakes central up there. Just a heads up in case someone wants to hike out of bounds.

Dog friendly. Beautiful, forest and streams, great views. So close to home how could I not go back again and again.

Calling this a trail is overly generous... A barely-contiguous path around a man-made park is more like it. Good enough for doing exercise laps (I did a few times to time against myself), or perhaps taking the dog for a walk... but don't expect breathtaking vistas. Rather some parking lots, some suburban grass... and some human detritus.

Decent exercise... views are delivered either at the beginning (stunning cemetery near the base) or at the end (overview of the town of Sonoma). Easy enough for kids. Overall is a bit difficult to get lost in the moment of "communing with nature" because the high amount of hiker traffic and the numerous man-made artifacts in the path and on the views (water tanks, etc).

A great little trail through shaded forest. Important to note: do NOT cross the seasonal creek! (It's just a trickle in summer but stream bed is obvious.) crossing will take you to private property and you will not be welcomed.

Nice well kept trail with inclines that get your heart going. Beautiful water features and not usually crowded.

No dogs allowed. Not much to see. Exposed loop trail around a reservoir. Might be nicer in the wetter months

This was my first hike in 20 years. I'm pretty out of shape so this was pretty challenging for me but I loved it. I manged to make it to the Upper Loop in about 45 minutes. Can't wait to go again the next time I'm in the area.

Beautiful circle trail. Good variation of stairs, hills, and open space. Nice views of vineyard with only a few people on the trail.

Beautiful wild flowers and lush greenery.

Dope! Been a special place for years. Keep it under your hat because you know how it goes..

I rated this a 5 because 1) I'm local and think it's great since it is located nearly in the heart of town and is easily accessible from the Plaza 2) it's clean and the people who hike it regularly take care of it; there's also a journal at the top to jot down thoughts, impressions, etc. and 3) it's attached to the Montini trail that heads west so you can actually get a few good miles of hike/trail run in if you hike up Overlook, head down partway and then take the other trail at the fork where one of the stone benches is. If you head west into Montini, you can go all over those trails to get a good run since the pathways are less rocky than the Overlook side and less travelled as well.
