Overgrown and full of ticks a little boring but once you get near the bay there are there are many different birds to look at.

Love this trail, sad to see it close as they have to rebuild it due to extreme fire damage.

No trespassing!

Worst hike I think I have ever gone on. We walked through a very overgrown trail, completely covered by bushes, and then walked on what seemed to be a farming maintenance trail. We didn't even reach the Bay before turning back because it was so boring and unsightly. The farming equipment we walked by at mile 1 should have been a sign.

This trail is closed for a year due to fire damage.

The loop is washed out because of a tidal flow enhancement project in 2009 where it turned out nature had better ideas as to where the tidal current should go. (according to the sign)

You can hike 2.6 miles out to the bay, and a small part of the loop.

IMPASSABLE AND NOT MAINTAINED. We decided to go clockwise around the loop. This meant we found the IMPASSABLE trail 90% done with the loop, which meant this was an 11.5 mile hike. There is more than 10 feet of fast moving water that no one, regardless of ability, should walk through. Afterwards we see a tiny notice that the trail is out, right next to a big map which doesn't note this.

My legs are fully scratched up from unmaintained trail of sharp brush, starting at the shoreline.

For the previous 5 star reviewer: you clearly didn't take the route in the map.

Great moderate loop hike, with wine at the beginning and end.

Great hike, dog friendly, and near a winery - you can't beat it. You'll get a solid workout! Multiple uphill climbs but enough breaks to make you forget that your glutes were en fuego.

Great trail

It's a bike path, very low key.

great hike in a beautiful setting, especially after all the rain.

We really enjoyed this hike. Our dog did as well even though she did get wet crossing the little creeks along the way. We are here in April when there have been a lot of heavy rains this year.

This very rainy winter and apparently no maintenance of this trail means it's completely overgrown and impassable. I was able to run on the farming roads adjacent to the trail for an 8 mile out and back but the deep ruts cut in the mud by farming equipment were difficult to traverse.

Dog friendly. Beautiful, forest and streams, great views. So close to home how could I not go back again and again.

Calling this a trail is overly generous... A barely-contiguous path around a man-made park is more like it. Good enough for doing exercise laps (I did a few times to time against myself), or perhaps taking the dog for a walk... but don't expect breathtaking vistas. Rather some parking lots, some suburban grass... and some human detritus.

A great little trail through shaded forest. Important to note: do NOT cross the seasonal creek! (It's just a trickle in summer but stream bed is obvious.) crossing will take you to private property and you will not be welcomed.

Great area with lots of bird watching opportunities. I drive Hwy 37 regularly and it's a beautiful area. Not sure about the bike rider review and people walking around in their underwear, but I would not consider that a worthy review. The description clearly says "The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is accessible year-round." not "...biking only if you tolerate thorns."

Nice well kept trail with inclines that get your heart going. Beautiful water features and not usually crowded.

Beautiful circle trail. Good variation of stairs, hills, and open space. Nice views of vineyard with only a few people on the trail.

I planned on mountain biking the path, but the thorns on the path concerned me,so did the guy walking around in his underwear,by his van.

Beautiful wild flowers and lush greenery.

Dogs allowed

I don't think this trail opens until 11 am when the gates to the winery open.
We were to early.

Fun hike, a few steep parts but wooden stairs help. Decent view.

Nice hike. There's is a large body of water (pond) about half way through the trail. The mustard is in season and truly makes quite a beautiful scene. Dog friendly park. There are a few steep parts, but are shortly lived. Heard from a local that there are rattlesnakes during the hot season. Make sure to check yourself and dog when leaving this park. Loaded with ticks.

Good hike, saw lots of wildlife (little lizards, woodpeckers, frogs and soaring turkey vultures), nice mix of terrain including stairs, benches along the way to rest and enjoy the views, mostly shaded but still very bright. Sweeping views of the hills in wine country and got to walk amongst the redwoods and vineyards on the same hike. Clean bathroom in parking lot. We took the Grape Stomp trail up and the You-Walk Miwok down.
