Easy trail. 4.7 miles from the parking lot, 1:16 at 3.8 mph average hiking pace. Stay left a 1st fork. I did the loop counter clockwise. A couple short semi steep hills at very beginning of the trail and at the end of the loop, the rest is easy. Not a lot of scenery, urban views. Horses use the trail, watch out for droppings and lazy dog owner droppings. Good short workout. Probably prettier when it's green

on Las Llajas Trail

Nice 9 mile loop. I started on Las Llajas and ended with the Chumash Trail. Las Llajas is a smooth fire road while Chumash is a technical single track so plenty of variety plus great views.

The weather was great for a hike. We parked our car behind the museum in the parking lot and walked up the fire road passed by The Village. There was no trail sign so we just kept following the fire road. Eventually we got lost and wound up at the top of Long Canyon Trail. We couldn't figure out the loop so we just came back the same way completing 5.7 miles by the end. Conclusion: take a map with you. The GPS didn't work well.

This hike is amazing. The views go on as far as the eye can see. I felt like the further back on the trail I went the more beautiful the scenery was. Well worth the climb!

Pretty in the spring, after rains. Wildflowers. Kind of steep in some places on the way up. About a mile up you arrive at an expansive field with offshoot trails. Dog, kid and mountain bike friendly. Plenty of parking at entrance.

Like this trail a lot and it has become my regular trail, very pretty. Very overgrown right now on the trail that runs parallel to Long Canyon Road - I hope they trim it back because you are brushing up against all the grass and bushes through that part. And a big heads up - it's tick season! I pulled 3 off my dog today and had 1 fall out of my shirt when I came home and was changing. Also, lots of fox tails right now on all the dry grass. It was an expensive trip to the vet to have one removed from my dog's ear canal. No, you cannot see it inside the ear - but your dog will be shaking their head.

Easy trail. At a slow pace about 90 minutes. Lots of birds. Also look for the seashell fossils in the rocks.

Beautiful views with wildflowers in spring. The trail transitions aren’t intuitive - I wouldn’t have figured out the transition from the Chumash trail to the Hummingbird trail without a map.

Love this hiking trail. There even is a tire swing if you can be adventurous and find it.. ps. it’s near the area where the post shows you “who was here first, the rock or the tree”

As much a climb as it is a hike. I would say it’s unique in that way as compared to most hikes in and around the area. Great views and certainly you get a workout on this one.

Awesome views! A favorite trail among mountain bike riders. Bring lots of water. Few parking spots. Please pick up after your 4-legged friends.

Great easy trail with the option of a more challenging shortcut. Absolutely beautiful at sunset or sunrise. Make sure to look for the prayer box near the cross!

Best part is being able to see all of Simi Valley from the top.

Excellent trail. Once you pass the initial incline, you go through beautiful flats with tons of flowers, oak trees, and shade. Gorgeous views from the peak. Not very busy/noisy. Hidden gem.

Very nice casual hike. Perfect for kids, great views with beautiful wild flowers in the spring.

Beautiful views! Was insanely windy when I went which made it slightly more adventurous. But very easy hike, not too many inclines.

Loved the hike for the most part, but if you are afraid of heights this is not for you. I don't know exactly what my problem was (vertigo), but certain parts were extremely anxiety provoking & had me hugging the ground. I stopped right before the last treacherous rock climbing section & did not make it to the top. I felt like a complete dork, but on the plus side I'm alive!!! lol. 5-star rating for the young who were climbing up like billygoats & I'm sure the view is out of this world.

Beautiful green and lush. Got lost at some point because there are other trails that branch off but no trailhead signs. Worth it though for a quick workout.

As someone else said, I ended up missing the loop and going towards a housing area a couple of miles down. Since It had rained I came upon a gnarly mud pit that almost took me out

I went on this hike to find the steam shovel. I asked a lot of people and no one knew what I was talking about when I would stop them to ask for directions, but thanks to a group of people that I ran into. They knew exactly where it was at and told me how to get there. From the beginning you hike 2.7 miles. So about 700 feet after you cross the creek for the 3rd time. Right at 2.7 you will see a small trail that is 12 inches wide on the left. Take that up for 1.8 and make sure to take water because that 1.8 is all incline, but it is not too bad. A kid can do it and so can a dog or you can even mountain bike it.

Loved the views from the top. A bit steep, be sure to wear proper footwear with good tread.

I love this trail, the views at the top are very picturesque!
