This is a long hike over an alluvial fan that gets you to a very colorful Canyon. There is a lot of geology going on here. Park your car at the 48 mile marker and walk due north toward a white ridge in the distance. Other descriptions say this is a white hill top. Anyway, skirt the near ridge after hiking 0.5 miles and then you can see the white splotch again. The mouth of kaleidoscope Canyon is at N35-55.807 W116-36.864. From there, go right at major wash intersections to a chockstone. It is 8 miles out and back to the chockstone.
