Easy hike. Took the fam, 3 kids ages 8 and 9 and the grandma. Beautiful view at the end.

Great walk...dusty trail....beautiful views

Did this today and the weather was great, very shady the whole way. There were a few spots that were easy to get down to the lake. It did start raining so we had to turn back early but we will definitely go again! The parking fee is actually $8. The pay station is down the hill to the left of the boat dock. After driving a little, there are three off roads that lead to a lot to park in or you can drive all the way up to the trail head and park if there is room. We parked at road 1 and walked a little more than 1/2 mile up to the trailhead.

A bit hard to find the trailhead. It is before the network of jeep trails. The trail itself is steep, narrow, and slippery. After a half mile or so, I decided it wasn't safe for a 66 year-year-old man hiking alone, and turned back. The views were amazing however.

Fantastic trail. Scrambling up the sisters was pretty straightforward. Beautiful sunset.

This trail was a great way to escape for the weekend. Bring lots of mosquito repellent as they are terrible at lower and upper twin lakes. The nature is gorgeous along the way, so you will not be bored on the way to the lake.

Great first backpacking trip with my husband June 29-30. Weather was perfect, mosquitoes were kept at bay with repellent. They seemed the worst at Lower Twin Lake. The last mile from Upper Twin to George was the part that makes this hike designation as ‘hard’. Uphill most of the way during that last mile, some rocky areas that make it hard to identify the trail. But the views at George are amazing! So worth the hike up there!

The trail was really easy to find. It was beautiful and totally work the trip.

You can park at the bottom and walk from there or drive up the dirt road and start at the little bridge.

The waterfall was really cool and the view was great

Went there on 06/23 on backpacking. Pretty easy hike. but the place is infested with mosquitoes and no one will be spared even if you use repellent spray and face net. Throughout the hike a colony of them will surround you and protect you from other insects. Couldn't stay outside of the tent for long.. Though the hike is pleasurable couldn't enjoy cause of the mosquito menace ...

Road was out and closed about 9 miles before the trail head so we never made it up.. A ranger said it should be fixed in 2-3 weeks.

only a mile to falls after you drive 2 miles on dirt road from hwy 168 so 6 miles from hwy or two miles up and back from trailhead. Get with it All trails. You are way off!

Great access to get under the falls

I really wanted to like this trail. 5 lakes in only 7 miles? What is there not to like? For starters, the road towards the trailhead. Rough road and at certain portions off road conditions. It is about 1.5 hours from Dinkey Creek Campground. Not recommended if you do not have a high clearance all wheel drive SUV. Secondly-- the actual trail. Poorly marked, not maintained at all and easy to lose the trail. You will experience a lot of bushwacking. Thanks to my downloaded map from Alltrails, we managed to find our destination, Island Lake. No switchback-- just straight up. The worse part? Mosquitoes. and lots of them. We had to cut our trip 1 day short because of it. But I have to say though it is really beautiful and if you want solitude, you will definitely have it here.

Easy hike. Dog friendly. Beautiful views!

Easy hike that is very kid friendly. Be warned - the vault toilet is vile, full of trash and marmot droppings. And bring your own toilet paper if you really want to use it.

Worth the hike. I only say this because there are some areas without shade on the trail and the dirt was too hot for my dog to walk on so I had to carry her during small sections. The lake was empty at the end of the trail. Beautiful views and nice beach with clear water. We saw no one on the trail which surprised me because it was beautiful.

First 20 minutes were brutal, tons of mosquitoes. It gets better though, hang in there. Try not to stop. Hobler lake is beautiful and very peaceful. Not too much to see on the way, most of the time you are walking trough forest with no view. But the forest itself is beautiful.

The drive up to the trailhead is gorgeous!

Just went up on Monday and the trail was beautiful. The last mile there were a significant amount of fallen trees blocking the trail so make sure you pay close attention and do not go off trail. The water level in the lake was pretty low, but still offered a beautiful sight. I would recommend it for the beauty, but not for the fishing.

Lots of fun for my first trip. Stock 2017 Toyota Tacoma. Had a couple hard spots because of clearance issues. But FUN!!

A beautiful, easy trail for the whole family, young and old alike!

This trail was awesome. We parked at the base (not the lot inside) which made the hike a little over 4 Miles. The trail is well kept and easy to follow. Steady incline to the top but not too steep. The falls were beautiful! The weather was perfect. A little chilly when we got there by 9am but once you get moving, the coolness feels great. You don’t get wet from the falls, just a very little bit of mist.

interesting. Kind of ugly at first thanks to all of the dead trees in the Sierras right now, but once you hit the halfway point it becomes considerably more scenic. I prefer a little bit better of a view while hiking, but the destination was great and beautiful. A good deal of side hikes are available on this trail as well (check out Mary's Meadow).

We did this back last August. Got there at night and and a heck of a time finding the alternate trail head. Put in first thing in the morning and it was such a easy trip overall! stayed at first lake night 1. Took a dip in the clear beautiful water, laid in the sun, complete pleacefulness. Ended up hailing that night so we made dinner in our tent with our two dogs. Day two we hiked to lake 2 and and thought lake 3 isn't that far, hike there and then choose where to camp. Loved lake 3 and stayed there. Found a great rock that reflected our fire just right at night! From lake 3 we went thru a rocky area to lake 4, it was a little confusing but found our way. overall it was a nice slow going backpacking trip over 3 days. I plan to take friends who haven't backpacked on it as an intro trip!

Beautiful views!

The difficulty rating is appropriate, there’s a lot of up hill hiking. Getting to the top of Bald Mountain was easy enough. The views are beautiful. Yet somehow coming back down we got lost quite a few times. The trail is not defined and you kind of have to guess which direction the trail is. There were a lot of 4x4 vehicles the day we went. We were the only hikers. Im glad I did this hike but will probably not do it again unless in a vehicle.

Hiked this with hubby, our 8- and 6-year-old sons and Australian Shepherd on a Wednesday morning, only saw three other people and one dog. Nice family hike, wide trail, about 1.7 miles from the parking lot to the falls and back. There is a vault toilet but completely trashed...diapers, cups, etc. on the ground. Too bad there isn't a trash can and I agree with Ashley D...why can't people just pack out their garbage? The falls are gorgeous, I wouldn't be comfortable hiking this with my kids when there's a lot of people since the end of the trail is narrow, rocky, and misty.

If you continue on the dirt road in your car, it leads to a parking lot which makes the hike much shorter. Disappointed with the gross bathroom and trash left near it. Wish they had a trash can at the trailhead, and I don’t understand why people can’t pack out what they pack in. The trail is beautiful with the surrounding trees and the waterfall is amazing! Went early morning around 9 and we had the falls to ourselves. This was a quick and beautiful hike!
