Love this trail. Been going on it for over 25 yrs.

Super easy hike. It’s a 10-15 min hike if you drive til the parking lot.

Amazing traill and beautiful but the mosquitoes were relentless. Even spraying up every fifteen minutes they would bite you. It was constant which explains why we had the lake we were at to ourselves which was breathtaking. The road there should be driven by an SUV. I appreciated being in a four wheel drive even though I didn’t use it. Had to drive around the long way from Dinky Creek Campground since road and bridge still out on the short route. We did get a bit lost but it was mostly user error and it was marked ok. The trails are also poorly marked so plan on doing some extra hiking to find your way but it is also why you get solatude and wake up to a lake all to yourself. Fly fishing seemed like it would have been successful since the trout were jumping all over the lake eating the plethora of mosquitos.

great view from the tower

Easy hike. Took the fam, 3 kids ages 8 and 9 and the grandma. Beautiful view at the end.

Great walk...dusty trail....beautiful views

A bit hard to find the trailhead. It is before the network of jeep trails. The trail itself is steep, narrow, and slippery. After a half mile or so, I decided it wasn't safe for a 66 year-year-old man hiking alone, and turned back. The views were amazing however.

Fantastic trail. Scrambling up the sisters was pretty straightforward. Beautiful sunset.

The trail was really easy to find. It was beautiful and totally work the trip.

You can park at the bottom and walk from there or drive up the dirt road and start at the little bridge.

The waterfall was really cool and the view was great

only a mile to falls after you drive 2 miles on dirt road from hwy 168 so 6 miles from hwy or two miles up and back from trailhead. Get with it All trails. You are way off!

Great access to get under the falls

I really wanted to like this trail. 5 lakes in only 7 miles? What is there not to like? For starters, the road towards the trailhead. Rough road and at certain portions off road conditions. It is about 1.5 hours from Dinkey Creek Campground. Not recommended if you do not have a high clearance all wheel drive SUV. Secondly-- the actual trail. Poorly marked, not maintained at all and easy to lose the trail. You will experience a lot of bushwacking. Thanks to my downloaded map from Alltrails, we managed to find our destination, Island Lake. No switchback-- just straight up. The worse part? Mosquitoes. and lots of them. We had to cut our trip 1 day short because of it. But I have to say though it is really beautiful and if you want solitude, you will definitely have it here.

Easy hike. Dog friendly. Beautiful views!

Easy hike that is very kid friendly. Be warned - the vault toilet is vile, full of trash and marmot droppings. And bring your own toilet paper if you really want to use it.

Worth the hike. I only say this because there are some areas without shade on the trail and the dirt was too hot for my dog to walk on so I had to carry her during small sections. The lake was empty at the end of the trail. Beautiful views and nice beach with clear water. We saw no one on the trail which surprised me because it was beautiful.

Lots of fun for my first trip. Stock 2017 Toyota Tacoma. Had a couple hard spots because of clearance issues. But FUN!!

A beautiful, easy trail for the whole family, young and old alike!

This trail was awesome. We parked at the base (not the lot inside) which made the hike a little over 4 Miles. The trail is well kept and easy to follow. Steady incline to the top but not too steep. The falls were beautiful! The weather was perfect. A little chilly when we got there by 9am but once you get moving, the coolness feels great. You don’t get wet from the falls, just a very little bit of mist.

We did this back last August. Got there at night and and a heck of a time finding the alternate trail head. Put in first thing in the morning and it was such a easy trip overall! stayed at first lake night 1. Took a dip in the clear beautiful water, laid in the sun, complete pleacefulness. Ended up hailing that night so we made dinner in our tent with our two dogs. Day two we hiked to lake 2 and and thought lake 3 isn't that far, hike there and then choose where to camp. Loved lake 3 and stayed there. Found a great rock that reflected our fire just right at night! From lake 3 we went thru a rocky area to lake 4, it was a little confusing but found our way. overall it was a nice slow going backpacking trip over 3 days. I plan to take friends who haven't backpacked on it as an intro trip!

Beautiful views!

The difficulty rating is appropriate, there’s a lot of up hill hiking. Getting to the top of Bald Mountain was easy enough. The views are beautiful. Yet somehow coming back down we got lost quite a few times. The trail is not defined and you kind of have to guess which direction the trail is. There were a lot of 4x4 vehicles the day we went. We were the only hikers. Im glad I did this hike but will probably not do it again unless in a vehicle.

Hiked this with hubby, our 8- and 6-year-old sons and Australian Shepherd on a Wednesday morning, only saw three other people and one dog. Nice family hike, wide trail, about 1.7 miles from the parking lot to the falls and back. There is a vault toilet but completely trashed...diapers, cups, etc. on the ground. Too bad there isn't a trash can and I agree with Ashley D...why can't people just pack out their garbage? The falls are gorgeous, I wouldn't be comfortable hiking this with my kids when there's a lot of people since the end of the trail is narrow, rocky, and misty.

If you continue on the dirt road in your car, it leads to a parking lot which makes the hike much shorter. Disappointed with the gross bathroom and trash left near it. Wish they had a trash can at the trailhead, and I don’t understand why people can’t pack out what they pack in. The trail is beautiful with the surrounding trees and the waterfall is amazing! Went early morning around 9 and we had the falls to ourselves. This was a quick and beautiful hike!

Easy, relaxing trail alongside creek sounds and singing birds. Map is accurate for the 4 mile rt hike, but if you have kids I recommend to drive your car up to the parking lot. From there it's about a 2 mile rt hike. Waterfall is absolutely beautiful!

Moderately challenging. Saw stock vehicles doing though. You can opt out on some of the hard stuff. Beautiful views. Well worth it. It was a challenge to find the head of the trail. Look for the stacked rocks to stay on track.

The trail is actually only about 2 miles, not 4 miles as stated. Beautiful waterfall though!

Nice easy trail! Great if you have kids. It ends at the lake and the view is amazing.

amazing hike, blinded by the white granite. very steep at the beginning overwhelming views and finally Meeting a bear on his path.
Start was a little difficult to find, but when heading North where the sign of the Summit is place easy to find. the silence in there is amazing.
