Muir Beach's trails are pretty epic. Drone footage that I took: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NhoNPYTFIEg

Such a beautiful hike. well worth the views!!! I am in no way fit.... just started hiking recently and actually found this one pretty easy.....

Rodeo Valley Trial does NOT allow dogs! I almost got a ticket, but thankfully a couple with dogs warned me they just received a ticket from the park ranger ahead and I was able to turn around in time. I started from Bunker Road and went up the Rodeo Valley Trial. The mile I made it along the the trial was chill. Tons of cyclists there.

Great hike along the ridge overlooking wood groves. Option to continue to Muir beach at the end, easy parking on panoramic highway

Tremendously peace view from the shoreline adjacent to bridge

Beautiful hike with uninterrupted views on the coastline. Be prepared for changing weather (fog, cold winds...). Also, the lighthouse was opened to the public from 12:30, so a 9:30 start from Muir Beach is enough to arrive there just on time.

So gorgeous! There are amazing views of SF, the bay, the beach, and Sausalito. I’d recommend getting there early enough to find parking as it was intense by the time we left (about 1pm). We ended up adding a couple miles to our trip by adding the Battery Spencer Trail to the day as well as exploring a couple of the old batteries which I definitely recommend. As a Bay Area native, the views never get old and if you’re local and you haven’t been, I hope you do. Trail was about 40-50% shaded so prepare for that if your fair otherwise it requires very little planning. Great place to take visitors! Keep in mind you can only access the parking lot from the south so if you’re coming from Marin, you do a bit of backtracking - unless I don’t know a secret way to get through... which is entirely possible!

Great hike. Beautiful scenery. Unfortunately, we missed the sign to take the complete Dias Ridge trail and ended on a road. We only missed a half mile of the 6.1 distance, and did not see the water due to fog. We met some seasoned hikers to the area and they gave us several alternatives to try next time. We enjoyed the beautiful wild flowers and cool climate. THERE IS POISON OAK! We are treating with Technu and hoping for the best. I will be back to see this entire path another time for sure.

Nice trail. Pretty hard with lots of steep ups and downs.

Easy walk down & back. The hardest part is finding a parking spot!

Nice hike, very easy.. more of a walk. If you have shoes with good tread and well balanced... I recommend going straight down the side in the trees. You go off the path by the first turn to the right and just continue down the hill. You'll have to shimmy about 10 feet down a steep incline at the beach but makes it adventurous and great on the legs.

As far as hikes go I'd give this a 2. It's a smooth, wide road. However, this is an amazing place to take guests of The City. From the cliffs of the headlands, through a eucalyptus forest, and down to the beach.

BTW, the swing has been cut down

Hiked this route on a weekday and it was mostly runners and bikers. The trailhead is conveniently located right next to a park and ride. If you are coming from San Francisco, you can take Golden Gate Transit bus 101 that stops on Spencer avenue, close to the park and ride.

Hiking trail is easy to follow, not too many people here which is great, quiet little beach at the bottom as well. The swing was broken when we got to it. Overall, great experience

beautiful viewa

Easy hike. It's basically a dirt paved road that leads to the bottom where the campgrounds meet the ocean. There is parking right at the entrance, but I preferred getting more of a hike by parking at the round about up the hill, and taking the small trail that hugs the road all the way down to the main trail. This is definitely one of those hikes you don't need to wear hiking gear for. Many tourists, families, and photo shoots happening around.

Short hike to some beautiful scenery and in my opinion, one the best views of the bridge you can get.
Go through the campgrounds, come down the stairs to the beach, and look to your left. You'll find the Instagram famous swing of Kirby Cove. A must - get photo opp.

An urban hike with an awesome finish! As long as you don't mind a 20 mile round trip hike, this is a great one to experience the best of San Francisco urbanism to one of the best views of the bridge! And bonus points if you get to Kirby Cove at sunset!
