Decent hike. Lots of inclines for a good workout. Saw some deer and butterflies, but not many views. Lots of shade though so good on a hot day.

We started at 6:45 am and got done before it became too hot. Good hike for starters - not much elevation. Distance may not be comfortable for kids or dogs.

easy, shaded, and great for a sunset hike!

Enjoyed the sanborn trail!

Great summer trail lots of shade not hard. Also not crowded. Beautiful for the middle of Silicon Valley. Views of San Jose all the way to Palo Alto from top of lookout trail.

Good elevation, running through the red woods is always fun. First quarter mile a little trickier to navigate due to lack of signage and it being my first time on this route. Fog was rolling over the mountains today for a nice tree rain at the top. $6 parking fee if you want to park inside the park.

It was challenging on the way up pretty steep the first few miles. Not the best marked but not difficult to navigate. I will definitely be back.

Short hike. Easy for kids. Nice view. Lots of shade

This is a good option for when Castle is too crowded

Very good!!

Rode half this trail which made for a fun adventure. Awesome views with vary nice people

Closed off right now about a mile from the trailhead. We were going to walk up and hike it anyways, by someone was guarding the trailhead and told us no. There’s a side trail that you can do on the left, but we decided to find a different hike.

Going up through the walk in campground to the Peterson trail and back is doable with a stroller

Great trail. Make sure to come early. Parking is very limited. Saw lots of wildlife.

Love the trees

Best trail I’ve been on in the area for wildlife- deer, wildcat, turkeys -amazing

hike uphill was not enjoyable. there are much better hikes nearby

We do this loop several times a year. A great workout, and very beautiful.

hiked in the rain, went searching for waterfall and could not find any water... :(

Good one for a quick hike with family...

It is one of my favorites trails. Always enjoyed the beautiful garden and scenic trails.

This hiking trail is very easy to reach. Today I saw three coyotes passing in front of me about 100 feet away in the star ridge trail. it's amazing to see these wild animals but also a little bit surprised as star ridge trail is surrounded by prestigous houses and city streets. A hiker later I met in star ridge trail told me he saw coyotes in this part of trail too.
