Beautiful trail, especially a few days after the rain with a strong stream in the creek. Other than a short stretch that was too steep for me to run up or down, moderate trail. Free parking on the street near trail head.

I noticed lots of 4+ star ratings on this trail but 3 stars on sugarloaf vista, just a few miles away. They aren’t really even comparable from a views and terrain diversity perspective. maybe it’s the mountain biker preference for this trail.

Great loop to run :)

It is a beautiful hike, but many bikes on the main trail. we got lost for a little bit because the rain has washed away some mud, and plants are thick. overall, it is a fun hike

This trail should be rated moderate, at best. There are not a lot of steep climbs. It is a bit long if you’re not used to hiking 6 miles.

Great quick family hike! Took about 2 hours round trip with 3 Kids(13,12,10). Hit most of the goals on my Fitbit in 2 hours. Not bad!

Did this hike 2 years ago with my wife and her fam. Gunsite is worth it for the view. I’m in decent shape and didn’t really have any trouble with it.

There’s a nice series of trails, some challenging. It’s picturesque though also crowded with many people on the trails which are narrow and often shared by mountain bikes whizzing by which definitely disrupts what could be a calm scenic vibe.

A bit of an extra walk from Howarth Parking lot. Make time

Went to trailhead but it’s all private property, no trespassing

Very nice walk, I walk on the dirt outer trails. Great for dogs and bikes. I go almost everyday and it gets better every time.

Nice variety of not too steep and level. During winter small brook to cross.

We took a family day hike/ walk today. There are plenty of different trails to go on. Most is paved roads and some dirt trails off the beaten path. We went through the Howarth Park parking area and did the Spring Lake Loop in addition to a little section in Annadel Park. It’s really easy and you of course see a lake. Lots of people and bikes. So there is a lot of traffic. Lots of picnic areas. You could also bring your canoe or motor-less boat and paddle around the lake.

Only did short walk from Stony Point Road to Doubles Drive. Not worth walk except from point A to point B. Very noisy (highway 12), a few transients, nothing to view. Suspect a bike ride would be better as it a reasonable length. Asphalt pathway.

Good walking trail on north and south side of creek between Fulton Road and Willowside Road. South side is hard-packed gravel. North side is asphalt. South side had wild turkeys and grapes. North side has good view of Santa Rosa hills and grapes. Very pleasant walk.

This review is outdated since I did this hike before the fire- not sure its condition now. Beautiful, particularly at dusk.

Very nice lightly moderate trail. Not many birds, but lots of bikes on this Saturday, but all well trained in trail etiquette. Very relaxing.

I prefer this route in reverse. One of the best routes (trail running) at Annadel SP. Marsh is challenging but very run-able and flying down South Burma is a real treat, with very different plant life at a higher elevation. The trail in the South Burma section is some of the most pristine single track in the park. Start at John Beckmeyer Trail on Parktrail Dr. for easy access.

Always a good time coming down Spring Creek - look out for turkeys! Access the trail from Stonehedge Dr. as well, instead of Spring Lake.

Either direction you run this route, you are going to have a great time. Rough-Go is steeper going up than Canyon and more technical/single track trail. I would recommend coming down Spring Creek Trail as an alternative - that trail is very shaded and not as rocky as Rough-Go if you are looking for a smoother descent. Parking on the road at Parkridge Dr. is easy and plentiful, definitely the best way to access Annadel from the Santa Rosa side. The other access point is to park at Stonehedge Dr. just north of Parktrail Dr. Enjoy!

Shaded much of the way, which I love. Panoramic views from Gunsight Rock. The Summit isn't what makes this worth it - it's definitely the overlook at Gunsight!

Really gorgeous trail. Pretty secluded from other people.

Flat level trail through West Santa Rosa. Some views are pretty seedy and homeless camps on the side of the trail. It used to be a nice trail but more like hobo row...head further to the west..more scenic and less city filth.

Don't go if it's toasty out. There's very limited shade spots so it's direct sun. Make sure to wear sun screen!! Otherwise gorgeous trail absolutely loved it

Great hike to bring your dog!

Only strenuous for about 10-15 minutes then the trail flattens out for the rest of the hike. There's a beautiful view but it was ultimately a little underwhelming.
