Essentially, this is a network of coastal foothill paths in an open space reserve. Easy for walking (I guess you could call it "hiking") but I especially like it for its trail running opportunities - if you want to challenge yourself, there are routes with elevation gain to turn to; if not, plenty of flat terrain as well.

You'll get some nice views of the ocean, and you'll get to walk amongst Eucalyptus trees. Marin County ardently fights for its open spaces - this is evident by how "real estate-able" the area appears to be, yet, this open space remains for locals and outsiders (hint: you might stick out like a sore thumb as an outsider, they'll just know! no biggie) to enjoy.

No admission fees. Be ready for friendly dogs and people.

Short easy walk on a single trail with nice views of mountain. Good if you want to avoid bikers. Also good if you just want a loop to walk around and if you like to pretend you are walking around a turtle’s shell:-) Easy parking on a weekend day.

Good for dogs!

Beautiful trail for family walks.

Nice wide fire roads with great vistas. Great to take dogs or younger kids. Gradual gentle uphill.

Great trail however when I got to midway and tried to catch the fire trail, it was all fenced up so had to hike back same way. Wish the trail was updated.

Easy. Busy. Views. Informative signs.

Super easy for kids, they loved it. We sighted deer while on our walk.

Easy loop, good for bored kids. Or to do just a bunch of lazy loops with a pretty view.

Great little walk with the pups.

Beautiful- a little muddy right now

This hike dies not exist because it is not possible to do the loop at the end. The owner has blocked the trail with a giant fence with cameras. The 680 trail though is fantastic with 5 bridges and beautiful vistas, pines, madrones, bays, and a wide variety of wildflowers.

Dog friendly, wide trails with tremendous panoramic views. Trail is showing major signs of our drought with foxtails lining the way. Parking is on a residential street.

This place sucks! $3 to hike? It's only 3, but really? Poorly planned, poorly maintained.

Great tam views and panoramic at points. At the very top, look for stone art.

I come here often and it's a good local hiking trail, but some of the paths need clearing and become slippery or rocky.

A LOT of dogs of leash. Hummmmmm? A nice hike will probably do it again one day with my on leash little terrier.

Just outside my front door. Nice easy walk along the marshes. Cool birds and in the summer, usually a cool breeze from the bay. One day I want to take a paddle board out on the creek itself. It can get muddy after a rain, and the ground is pretty pocky. So don't twist an ankle.

Very nice little loop, nice views of Santa Margarita Valley.

A very casual, easy walk with many birds and small critters to observe. The entire hike is out in the open with no shade, therefore if done on a hot day, take that into consideration.

Jan 27th - discovered this 3 mile flat easy great for intervals, serene hike -- 105 minutes

A scenic trail with considerable topographical variety. Good for hiking, running or biking. Many forks and options heading toward Lucas Valley, Terra Linda & Sleepy Hollow. No water during dry season, with streams alongside and crossing trail occasionally during wet season. Many views of Mt. Tam, the north bay, Terra Linda, San Rafael & Marin County Convention Center, and Sleepy Hollow.
