This is a fun trails with lots of nice views. Not too difficult at all, but still a good workout. My only complaint is way too many mountain bikers. Everyone was nice and I don’t mind sharing the trail, but we had a few near misses and were constantly stopping to let bikers by. That is the reason for the low rating. There is a nice vista with a bench at 1.2 miles. Lisa’s lookout was 2.8 miles from the parking lot. Nice picnic tables for lunch.

Great place for a ride

Pretty good easy trial. No shade for the first 3-4 miles so keep that in mind!

Good workout, little steep, good to come early morning.

Not scenic but easily accessible for some easy miles.

Great trail. Easy difficulty in terms of inclines and declines, moderate difficulty in terms of length. Mostly open space with some patches of shade. Not too many bugs or hikers, mostly mountain bikers.

Hiked with my 8 yr old. Mostly shaded, with easy to moderate difficulty level for my son. New Almaden trail that leads to Mockingbird entrance gets narrow.

Nice trail, lots of people and not too much shade and watch out for rattle snakes!

Amazing trail. Good views of calero and surrounding hills.

Animal waste wasn't picked up. Trail signs aren't the most convenient and one trail ends at the road and you either go all the way back on that trail or have to walk on road. Paid parking.

quiet and nice with shades, straight up and down, good view along the way, inside a nice house community

a bit windy

Started off counterclockwise then decided to go left at the second fork to return to the initial trail following Guadalupe. We missed the left turn for this loop and continued for about 15 min before realizing it and backtracked. We continued on the loop until we arrived at a vista point with a picnic table waiting for us! That’s when we took our break for lunch. It was already 5+ miles by then. We continued on the trail and realized that this downward trail was what some hikers referred to when they said it should be rated moderate to difficult. It was rocky and slippery in some areas, as well as steep. Good thing at this junction was that there were many trees, offering lots of shade on a hot day. Today was a great, breezy day. All in all a great workout, 11 miles total.

Most of this trail is a fire-road with no shade. The views are ho-hum. Maybe more interesting after rain or in spring when wild flowers cover the hills.
