A great urban “hike” with some classic SF payoff views. As directed most of this hike is done on or alongside paved roads. Grab a trail map of the presidio and supplement with the actual trails. It would get the 5th star if route was more more imaginative with the presidio trails. Recommendation: add the coastal portion of the battery to bluffs trail. Beautiful!

Somehow I've never been to this park before this. It has very nice with gorgeous views of the city. I recommend getting a drink or appetizer at the Cliff House which has views of the Farralon Islands.

To me this is a dog park. Most people come here with their dog off leash.

95% of this is along the main road. Lots of cars, noisy, no views. Meh.

great views and variety. Mild walk though rather than moderate.

The hike was nice, however it would have been nice to have signs. There were some trails confusing and was out of guide. Overall, it was a nice hike and some hidden areas of golden gate park.

Very easy path, all paved, but you’re by the road the whole time. Definitely not a nature walk.

This walk is great if you’re looking for a little nature while still being in SF. It’s short but beautiful, with amazing views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Pacific Ocean. We do this hike twice a month to get a little break from busy city life.

Always a joy to walk the dogs in John McLaren Park. This trail is great because it gets into the trees and away from some of the city noise

A small and very intimate trail with amazing views of the Bay. The initial ascent is paved, yet very steep, but you’re rewarded at the top with a fairly flat trail loop and solitude.

We started from immigrang point foing down I loved this trail with small beaches and lil beet steep elevation.

Very good trail with an amazing view!

Started at the cliff house. Easy hike with some stairs. Amazing views

Heavily trafficked & a (sometimes) loud parking lot & park area. Also, can be very windy.

Short walk with Ben

This was a very nice hike. The only challenges were the stairs leading down to Marshall’s Beach and coming back up. We got to Marshall’s at high tide so there wasn’t much of a beach, just lots of rocks on the shore. So take the tide tables into account. Lots of photo opps! Trees, flowers, the Coast, the Golden Gate Bridge, etc.

Develop see-through trail system it’s a great little urban hike. Plenty of side trails and spurs that will bring you into different neighborhoods. Popular with off-road cyclists.

This is a little spur that will take you up to the summit with some views of Mission Bay and Oakland against Eastbay Hills. Multi use trail be aware of cyclists and joggers if your dog is off leash.

cool trail in the city. a little over grown at parts

Beautiful scenery. Dog friendly. As others have described, it is basically two trails sandwiching a very affluent neighborhood. The first part is very easy. the second portion has a few inclines with stairs. I recommend climbing the sand ladder at Baker beach.

Really nice trail. Has stairs down to beach and across trail. I wouldn’t recommend strollers or wheelchairs. Very beautiful trail there of flowers, trees and some rocks. Take it one step at a time it’s worth the walk/view.

Cool woodsy trail in the middle of the city. Great for kids and dog friendly. You will cross a couple of streets but, not a problem. The trail is easy to follow. At the beginning of the Glen Canyon trail there is a rec center with bathrooms. At the top of Twin Peaks there are restrooms as well. Beautiful rock formations, large trees and sounds of birds.
