Beautiful place

One of the most beautiful views.

Incredible wild trail and one of the best parts of San Francisco.

Definitely an easy hike! We started around 2pm and were done by 3:30pm and walked around the Mt Sutro loop. There are servers trails and you can get lost easily! Very confusing, you need a map if you want to follow the a trail. The historic trail is beautiful, and at some parts of it you have nice views of SF. But I wouldn’t go here for views, because there are other places with much better views of the city.

A lot of sight seeing.

Great spot if you live in the city. Easy enough to bring the kids along as well.

Hiked up here today (started in Stern Grove and did a big 5.5 mile loop, including a stretch through the mansions in St. Johns Wood neighborhood). Amazingly clear day, almost no wind at all. Saw a 2' long garter snake on the top of Mt. Davidson! Panoramic views taking in Sutro Tower/Twin Peaks to the north, downtown SF to the northeast, south of Mission, south SF, over to Brisbane... As well as clear views of the East Bay, including Mt. Diablo way off in the distance. In the western direction we could see some of the Farallon Islands as well. My wife prefers this location over Twin Peaks because there are no cars and no crowds -- it's a lot more peaceful!

Beautiful views! Caught a gorgeous sunset towards the end of the hike. Includes some challenging stairs and climbing that could be an issue for some. Trail was a little crowded and loud at times, but the views were so worth it.

Nice little trail on the north western coast of the SF peninsula. Stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge, a true oasis in the City that will give you a respite from all the hustle and bustle.

Nice connecting area to other parks in the area!

Nice open space on the edge of the city. While walking this trial came across Palace of Fine Arts which ended up being a stand out of my trip to San Francisco. Was a hidden oasis in the city after being amongst the towers in downtown for a week!

Pretty foggy day last Thanksgiving weekend but still beautiful. Lots of people, but that was to be expected.

This trail is beautiful! Lots of very steep stairs. At the parking area resides the Nastiest port-o-potty I have ever been in, and I work construction!

Great mixture of shade and sun, and has a fantastic secret bathroom at one of the campus buildings. Truly gorgeous greenery along well-maintained trails. Dog friendly. Keep an eye out for poison oak and roots that cause uneven footing.

Great City trail. Don’t go beyond any ropes as the cliffs are very dangerous. On a clear day the views are amazing.

Be sure to go past Geary Street to Sutro park for another quick walk.

Started at Lands End and just kept going. Beautiful views of the ocean and the Golden Gate Bridge. Recommend that you bring water, snacks, sun screen and a hat. It was cool in the breeze and warm in the sun. Lots of people and bikes as you get closer to the bridge.

easy and great view

Enjoyable area to get and and enjoy the outdoors

An easy flat urban walk along the beach from the SF bridge to the marina. Views of all sorts of activities going on on the water and the beach.

It's a pedestrian/bike road that takes you across the bridge towards trail heads on both sides. Best bike across a bridge I've experienced. It was much more enjoyable than the bridges of Seattle.

Curious urban section in between what is essentially 2 trails. Nice, long walk otherwise.

Beautiful views. Also, great to visit to watch sunset. It’s very easy, so you don’t have to wear hiking shoes etc. Great to bring friends / family visiting out of town. Check the weather before going, there is no point going there when foggy.

Amazing views of the GG Bridge. I recommend doing that hike only when it’s not foggy on that side of town.

First and foremost, the upper part of this beach is CLOTHING OPTIONAL. But don’t let that scare you off! Great view of the bridge & very secluded walks along the beach or along the mini forest right behind it. Nice way to get out of the overly touristy city.

Nice decent hike with amazing views. I took a detour down to Marshall’s Beach and walked it before coming back to the main trail. Not a lot of people which made it easy and quiet!
