Nice kid friendly trail.

Went with my family (easy for a young kid) and observed lots of plants and birds. seems like an extension on the botanical gardens with all the flora to be seen. Saw a number of waterfowl (Canada geese, mallards, great blue herons, night herons...). A fair number of people on the paths as well. Easy street parking right next to the outer path. The ducks are very used to people and expect to be fed (which we didn't - please don't feed the ducks, for their own good!)

Nice place to run if you are already in the park and want a lot of space. Not very scenic compared to the rest of the park aside from the surrounding trees. Running area is not paved.

Great view at the top and the lake at the bottom

My (almost) 5 year old daughter and I have been hiking Bernal Heights Park since she was 2 and explored almost every bit of the hill. There are often many people (and their dogs) on the service road and the summit, but we have found many somewhat hidden, small trails around the perimeter of the park. There are several trails appropriate for differently agreed kids. Lots of little places to explore and nature to be seen. Coyotes and birds of prey make occasional appearances. We're very glad to have this neighborhood resource during Shelter In Place! Oh yeah, lots of panoramic views, of course. Most of the eastern half of SF is visible, as well as much of the East Bay.

All parking lots are closed due to Coronavirus. The trails are quiet and kid friendly.

Easy for the family. Currently all parking lots are closed. You have to find street parking 2hr max.

It's cool. Very crowded with people even with social distancing.

Easy well-paved trail. About a mile from public transit. Lots of shoreline birds and park tables for get togethers. I visited on a Sunday and even with a few parties in the distance, it didn’t impact my enjoyment of the bike or photography. Surprised by finding a fishing pier at the point and several restrooms along the way. I’m coming back to this area to a few other trails near it. My favorite photograph is of an Anna’s Hummingbird atop dry dill

No shade on sunny days - lots of tourists - go behind the warts to be closer to the water but a bit run down there

Wonderful little hike in the city. The hike is pretty short but there’s plenty of loops to take and it’s a pretty steep incline. At the top you get great views of the city and there’s a small wooden swing to play on. 8/10 a very nice little hike if you live nearby and don’t want to leave the city.

Nice flat trail and lots of families cooking out. Squirrels are plentiful but not aggressive. Lovely views.

Early on Saturday morning parking was easy and the scenery was awesome. Did the Crissey Field Parkrun which happens every Saturday. Got much busier in the two hours I was there and the fog cleared.

Happened to go on a day where the sun was out so it was a plesant walk. if you are walking around the base/exterior of Stow Lake, it is pretty easy. The steps going up Strawberry Hill are a little steep but not that hard. Not much of a view at the top since the trees are blocking , but a nice place where there were numerous people reading. The most unpleasant thing was the dirty pond/reservoir that was located around the middle of the hill right behind the falls. Huntington Falls is pretty for an artificial falls since it pools between stepping stones (man-made) and runs into Stow Lake. The smell close to the falls was not a fresh scent, but I won't say it was terrible or unbearable. Overall, a pleseant hike/walk away from the city.

I would recommend this trail for a scenic run watching Golden Gate Bridge , there will be wind blowing so wear appropriate cloths

Great flat trail, easy walk, beautiful views. We decided to start out at Palace of Fine Arts. As we followed the trail we saw signs to go to the Presidio then across the Golden Gate Bridge, which we did instead of looping right back. Ended up at the border or Marin County, which felt like an achievement, then headed back to Palace of Fine Arts. This was a doable, stress-free round trip of seven miles with small breaks when needed.

Beautiful view of San Francisco city at the top of the park

This hike goes around one of my favorite places in the city - the music concourse by the California Academy of Sciences. If you have time, I'd recommend checking out one of the museums. The De Young Museum has an observatory deck you can visit for free that offers beautiful views of the park.

Beautiful day and gorgeous views
