I really enjoyed the variety on this trail.. ocean views, beaches, woods, expensive homes and Golden Gate Bridge. Its amazing to have such a nice wooded area in the middle of the city. I started at 10AM and it was a really foggy day.. so no views of GGB from Lands End until I got very close to the bridge when the fog lifted for a while.. trail was pretty busy the whole way.

Nice relatively quick am hike. Was foggy so views were limited.

Beautiful trail

Actually the fog was wonderful. Pack extra clothing: it could be hot or not. It was windy. On the south side of the bridge, the Welcome Center staff were informed and helpful.

Spectacular views. Starts in the woods, goes through a neighborhood, ends along the beaches. Well maintained trail with plenty of steps (some optional) for your cardio! I was so pleased to be able to get away from the city and enjoy the ocean vistas. Highlight of my trip.

Good fun with nice views of the bay and the bridge. I started early in the morning so it was still quite foggy. If you want blue sky and sunshine don't start this at 8am. I had a great time!

Nice walk along the beach. you can walk on the beach or on a concrete path. Although it was foggy in the morning I really enjoyed the walk!

Foggy and breezy

Saw two guys having sex by the windmill Still a fun trail though five out of five

I went at night so I’m not too sure how i rate it. Seemed narrow at some points and very slippery from all the moister from the fog. Was pretty fun but wish it had a view at some point

Beautiful view of San Francisco city at the top of the park

Considering I have lung issues, the hike wasn’t that bad, as long as you take your time and a few breaks. A lot of it is shaded and if you are not in the shade, you will reach shade soon. It includes slopes and stairs and I’m not a fan of the uphill portions, but doable. Beautiful view from Inspiration Point (free parking) overlooking the bay and Alcatraz. Restrooms are down at El Polin Spring 0.3 miles down from Inspiration point.

Make sure to take the Batteries to Bluffs trail off of the Coastal Trail. Great scenery, fun trail and the Bridge is magnificent! World class in my backyard!

I've done this hike twice-- once on a weekday and once on a Sunday. It's beautiful and so accessible from the city. If you have the choice come during the week though-- super crowded on the weekends. This hike is definitely more for the views than physicality, but views are worth it!!!

Easy, more of a nature walk but there are stairs that lead to the beaches that make it more fun/difficult. Dog friendly, great great views.

This hike goes around one of my favorite places in the city - the music concourse by the California Academy of Sciences. If you have time, I'd recommend checking out one of the museums. The De Young Museum has an observatory deck you can visit for free that offers beautiful views of the park.

Plenty of shade, but lots of stairs! If you’re trying to make it to the labrynth, it’s a little farther along than you expect from the trail I think. I couldn’t find it!

Good hike to the summit. The switchbacks on Fairy Gate trail are fun. Just be careful of some mountain bikers... some were crashing down the trail without warning. The hike under the forest canopy is relaxing and cooling. At the summit there is a clearing with benches to sit and chill. Not much views though, except of Sutro Tower itself. Worth it, for the forest-in-the middle-of-the-city experience.

Gorgeous creek-side trails, but hard to get any real distance in this park workout doing a bunch of loops. Large coyote spotted in the base of the canyon -- keep your dogs on leash!

Awesome! Not as busy as expected. Pretty peaceful for San Francisco
