I love this trail however following the directions on here always puts me in a random neighborhood so I recommend going to the far side of Canyonside park to enter the green side of the trail.
12350 Black Mountain Rd, San Diego, CA 92129

Easy trail, but long! What a workout! I also love that it's not crowded. It's great for a quiet hike and lots of mindfulness :)

Many trails, often flat and easy to navigate thanks to lots of signage. $3 cash fee to enter the park. Lots of trees and shrubs thanks to the riparian zone, but be mindful of poison oak as it's plentiful by the creek! Also there's a small waterfall worth checking out.
