This is not a hike. More like a walk. Going to the cross and flag is all incline but it’s a paved road so it’s not difficult. The rank of EASY is correct. Great for pets and kids of all ages. I love going for walks or hikes where the end result is something amazing. This has 3...the large cross, flag and view. PARKING: Best place to park is at the Ryan Bonamino park.
BEST TIME TO GO: Early morning as there is no shade and it gets very crowded by afternoon.
ADDITIONAL INFO: The trail to the right side of the mountain is harder than the left. Also there is a tower with a bridge that you can go on.

Great trail with beautiful views. Wish people would pick up their trash though. There are many trash receptacles on the trail so please put your empty bottles, etc in them.

Lots a shady people in most random of spots

Great paved trail family friendly! Felt safe the whole time!!

Hiked this trail Sunday 9/30. Love this little trail. We always take it to the road and then turn left heading to the highest peak on the north side. It turns out to be about 4.5 miles round trip and the views worth it.

Loved this hike! For someone like me, overweight and just starting physical activity, it was a nice challenge. More moderate than easy. Beautiful views, nice reaching the top just before sunset. Lots of people around. Easy to get to and lots of parking.

This short trek was an emotional one for me. My mother had just passed away. I went up there by myself, said a prayer by the cross, and left a flower for my mom. I took pictures and was able to see the Memorial Park where my mother rests. I'm doing it again this Sunday with my father, sister, and brother in-law.

Live close do it often lots of people

Paved. No fun. Barely a hike.

Nice incline great view if it’s not over cast - wish people would pick up after their dogs - lots of poop on the walking path 

Wasn’t a fan of the paved road and finding parking was super hard (park at the nearby park!) but once I ventured off toward the rocks I had a much better time! Kind of reminded me of Joshua Tree for a moment. There was a bit too much trash on the trail for my liking, which was really disappointing.

Love this app. The kids and I are having a great time discovering new trails and loving nature.

It was beautiful. Very quiet when I went out

Walked the trail multiple times. Not much to look at except homeless camps, trash, used diapers and graffiti. I took my dog down to the water and found more of the same. I grew up here in riverside and used to love exploring the Santa Ana riverbed. Now I wouldn’t feel too comfortable doing much exploring. The hills have eyes. Some are friendly and some aren’t. I

I like to go up the sides instead of the trail. makes more of a challenge. today made it up in about 12

Awesome easy trail for fun walk.

short hike following the Gage canal. it was ok, I honestly think hiking the whole gage canal would be more interesting.

love this place, so does my kids and dogs

A beautiful place to come with the children. They can lead the way and discover the beauty while respecting nature. Just be sure to bring $2 for the parking!

First time and it was amazing...

Great views on hot summer nights. I have plantar fasciitis so it killed my heels but there’s plenty of spots at the top to rest. Best to go around 7 or 8pm

Easy, beginner trail. Family friendly.

Took a group of senior citizens up to Cross and back. It took 90 minutes. When I go with my fit friends, it takes 30 minutes. Great conditioning hike!

Super easy and AWESOME 360 view!!! Beautiful sunset too!!! There was lots of people up there but it was suck a pretty view. And although you can get up to the top the long paved path around the mountain you can also climb straight up the side which is a little more steep.
