Nice trails to do trail running. My friend and i went from walking at a steady pace to pushing ourselves on some of the steep hills. Great workout! Saw a few snakes along the way, but not to close to the trail itself. There is no, no , NO SHADE. So be prepared w/ SPF, a hat, and plenty of water!

Nice workout. Paved Traill, kid/ stroller friendly. Nice trail for an early morning/ evening run.

It's very beautiful. Lots of flowers to see!

good for kids and dog friendly

Great park. Basketball, baseball, picnic , and trains

Took my littles, 4 and 7 on this hike for the first time today. It was BEAUTIFUL!! There was a steady flow of people but everyone was very considerate to those around them. The kids were so excited when they made it to the cross!! We will definitely be back.

its really fun but watch for rattle snake just went today 4/22/18 and ran into 2 4 ft rattle snakes but other than that its fun to hike or bike.

Pretty good hike today it hot hot quick lol trail overall good but I don’t thing is in the hard category did the loop next time will go to pumpkin rock from there but will need to take someone so we leave a car on the other side overall took some good pics and videos on drone will be up on YouTube later

Great safe walk with family or challenge yourself and run up the back side!

It was a beautiful day to hike Sycamore Canyon. However it's that time of year and we came across a couple snakes.

This is always going to be favorite “go to” trail. I love the view and the length and variety that this trail has to offer. Free convenient parking is a short walking distance from the base of the trail on either the street or at the park. It’s also a perfect trail for strollers, dogs leashed, even children. Great trail the whole family can enjoy. Watch out for little critters passing by (just like you would encounter on any nature walk). Make sure to wear a hat and bring lots of water during the summer months because there isn’t a whole lot of shade. The trail can take anywhere from 1-1.5 hours depending on if you do the entire trail or just the quick loop around. As long as you’re staying on the designated paths provided, you’re sure to enjoy a safe and fun exercise :)

good for family. has nice views of the city.

I really enjoyed this hike! Its not much in the way of elevation and scenicly (is that even a word) its ok but it is a really nice getaway from the rigors of day to day life. I definitely recommend it!

I'm reading that this is a difficult hike? Granted, the first ascent is a bit steep but calling it difficult? I don't know that I would call it that! But then again, I do tend to push myself to the extreme and have been called a "hardcore" hiker more than once! LOL!! Heck, my next venture is Cucamonga Peak through Day Canyon Wash (no trial) and coming down through Icehouse Canyon. To me, that's a hike! LOL!!

In all seriousness though, I really enjoyed this hike and will do it again! The views are very nice. its a great hike for a group or if you just wanta brief getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life. :-)

Another thing to note is if you don't want to go up or come down that first ascent, there are trails that will lead you around the side that let you out on the street (Campbell Ave) which is on the north side of the park. I only mention this because coming down a steep ascent is a bit more difficult than going up.

Love going before the sunrise, the view is unbelievable.

Hiked up here on a beautiful morning. Great hike for beginners but I chose to scale some rocks up near the top as well. Architecture of the place is reminiscent of Old California. Missions and the like. Great hike and can’t say enough about the views from all angles of this trail.

Great for a quick workout. You can walk the trail or hike up the side trails. It gets busy with a lot of people depending on the time of day. I usually night hike which makes it a lot better to breathe.

Nice trail with great views, my kids love it!

Beautiful view and a great place to take your kids. My 5 and 4 year old enjoyed it.

Great area!

This hike is accessible for everyone. The Paths are paved and kid friendly.

Was a very nice trail! Great view, high traffic! Lots of dog walkers. At the top is a great area to take a break and relax. Was a fun hike!

Kids love this place. Big cross on top of the mountain can’t get any better.

Fun hike! Great view from the top! I went with a group, some of them crawled under a part of the fence and some of us went through the drainage tunnels that go under the railroad to pass by the fence. The trail goes straight up and took about 30 min to get to the top. I prefer climbing to the "M" on the other side of the same mountain, it takes a little longer but it's not as steep.
