This short trek was an emotional one for me. My mother had just passed away. I went up there by myself, said a prayer by the cross, and left a flower for my mom. I took pictures and was able to see the Memorial Park where my mother rests. I'm doing it again this Sunday with my father, sister, and brother in-law.

Live close do it often lots of people

Paved. No fun. Barely a hike.

Nice incline great view if it’s not over cast - wish people would pick up after their dogs - lots of poop on the walking path 

Wasn’t a fan of the paved road and finding parking was super hard (park at the nearby park!) but once I ventured off toward the rocks I had a much better time! Kind of reminded me of Joshua Tree for a moment. There was a bit too much trash on the trail for my liking, which was really disappointing.

Love this app. The kids and I are having a great time discovering new trails and loving nature.

It was beautiful. Very quiet when I went out

Walked the trail multiple times. Not much to look at except homeless camps, trash, used diapers and graffiti. I took my dog down to the water and found more of the same. I grew up here in riverside and used to love exploring the Santa Ana riverbed. Now I wouldn’t feel too comfortable doing much exploring. The hills have eyes. Some are friendly and some aren’t. I

I like to go up the sides instead of the trail. makes more of a challenge. today made it up in about 12

Awesome easy trail for fun walk.

short hike following the Gage canal. it was ok, I honestly think hiking the whole gage canal would be more interesting.

love this place, so does my kids and dogs

A beautiful place to come with the children. They can lead the way and discover the beauty while respecting nature. Just be sure to bring $2 for the parking!

First time and it was amazing...

Great views on hot summer nights. I have plantar fasciitis so it killed my heels but there’s plenty of spots at the top to rest. Best to go around 7 or 8pm

You can still access this trail.

TRAILHEAD: To find it, go to the Starbucks by Glen Mor. Walk down the street (Box Springs Rd.) toward the mountain. In a few minutes, you'll see a sign that says "No C Trail Access," so keep going straight. Then you'll see a second sign like this, and there's some wood on the ground to help you cross over from the street onto a path. This is a few houses down before a green fence. Cross the wood and walk down the trail. It will lead you to a brown fence. Scoot across the gap under the fence (you'll fit). Go up a little and you'll now be facing some train tracks. If you turn left and walk a few feet, you'll clearly see the start of the trail. If you had turned right, you'd see two "No Trespassing" signs close to each other, so you'd know you're not going in the ideal direction. If you follow the main dirt trails, it will lead you right to the C.

TIPS: It took me 2 hours to complete the trail from start to finish, but I took my time. I recommend taking at least 2 liters of water, especially if you go when the sun is out. Watch out when crossing the train tracks, so you don't die. Expect to see graffiti on rocks throughout the trail, but the C didn't have much writing on it to my surprise. As for difficulty, I'd say it's moderate--not a piece of cake, but also not so hard that I considered quitting.

If this helped you, thank me by picking up one piece of trash when you hike. Enjoy!

Easy, beginner trail. Family friendly.

Took a group of senior citizens up to Cross and back. It took 90 minutes. When I go with my fit friends, it takes 30 minutes. Great conditioning hike!

Super easy and AWESOME 360 view!!! Beautiful sunset too!!! There was lots of people up there but it was suck a pretty view. And although you can get up to the top the long paved path around the mountain you can also climb straight up the side which is a little more steep.
