Trail has a few short uphill climbs, other than that pretty easy. Plus bathrooms at start point. The hilltop climb is pretty steep, intermediate level. Excellent views of sundial

I ride my bike on this trail every day. I live on east bonnyview, so it is a nice convenient trail that is right down the road. I have been riding this trail for about 3 years now, there are many off-trails that you can take for fishing access. The terrain is pretty much flat. There are some dirt, rocky, sandy, and even some gravel type of flooring. It is a nice peaceful way to get away and just enjoy nature. Nice trail.

Easy hike, but great views throughout and a nice panoramic view from Chamise peak. Good for running too.

Great trail to run! I feel very safe at all times and the people I see on the trails are really nice!

Lovely trail close to town. Great for families

Its all burned from the Carr fire but still enjoyable to see the views of lassen shasta and more. Keep your gps or map handy as there are many off set trails with no signs. Given time this will be a beautiful hike again. Trailhead near Mary lake and is where two burnt homes are rebuilding.

Great trail especially if u take some of the trails that go off make distance more and way more hills

Good trail with a nice climb and great views along the way and at the top.

So close to town! Great spot to get away for a quick break. We took the Flanagan route this time and plan to go back soon and finish the Chamise side. Nice little get away for a couple hours without a long drive to make it happen.

super great for a quick walk before work when you want some nature but don't have time to go to the woods.

Good hike, great trail, and just off of I-5 by 5min if you need to stretch your legs on an I5 road trip. Uphill for the first 2.4 miles then you can come back down on the same trail.

Beautiful hike. It’s fairly easy, took me about an 45 minutes up and 45 down, with my puppy stopping to sniff occasionally. Most of the views are in the half which is by the peak.

Fun trail. There’s lots of shade for most of the walk. The first portion of the walk is mostly forested, followed by views of the Shasta trinity alps.

Great trail we went in rain and cold and still enjoyed it!!

#tenlegstosunset First time exploring with Murphy and Billy a little of these mostly flat but beautiful trails not far from Simpson U and Shasta College. Well maintained light gravel throughout, nice, fun off trails and a little creek water for the boys. We will be back!

easy walk with beautiful views.

Went with wife and college daughter! Lovely loop, great views and level asphalt. Highly recommend!

#tenlegstosunset We are still getting used to the time change and short days and the sun set on us early in this one. Western skies were clear, and once the stars came up, it was gorgeous.
The dogs, particularly Murphy in the lead, are showing more and more comfort with the darkness and our lights.
Just have to be calm and confident.
This trail is in EXCELLENT shape. Thank you to the trail folks for keeping it so incredible. I know it’s popular with the mountain bikes, but I’ll tell you the trails are plenty wide for hiking and the rocky portions have been worked to where it is very comfortable, except the last couple loops up top, which is expected.

Beautiful day for a leisurely hike.

Great view of the 3 Shastas.

Lovely day. Couldn't see Mt Shasta today but beautiful views and either I'm getting used to the burn effects or they are starting to fade.

Easy walk... did it with family (3 kids aged 8, 11 and 12). Amazing views at many spots, but primarily once close to the top! Takes an hour up and an hour down approximately by foot.

nice long walk, very dog friendly.

great during spring or fall, not a summer hike.

Nice-bottom half is all to yourself.

My favorite trail for a morning run.
