Nice, peaceful trail. Definitely rocky but worth the trek when you get to the ridge and are able to see the river.

Great for cliff diving if you have the balls. Narrow landing must be executed perfectly.

The only bad thing about this trail is there is no shade.

This trail had a beautiful view halfway through the loop but was pretty rocky

Well kept road for a nice walk or run in any season other than summer. Definitely not for the heat sensitive in the summer time but otherwise a nice little trail.

Awesome trail.

Sunshiny, cold and windy today on the ridge. Beautiful views up and down the river. Trail was clear but soggy in places due to recent rain. Trail pretty rocky so we slowed our pace for safety. Probably best hiked in spring and fall. No shade. Well worth the effort.

Just went in late April and river crossings were impassable, water moving briskly and about waist high! Will try later in the year.

Great easy trail. Very pretty in spring with wildflowers and dappled shade most of the way. Trail continues on after the first three miles, so turn around whenever you like. Lots of people fishing and bird hunting along the way. Very well marked and easy to follow. If you don’t consider the length I would categorize it as an easy trail.

The views from this Trailhead are spectacular. we went in springtime when there were tons of wildflowers. the scent from the flowers in the air was intoxicating. the Lookout Point is the prettiest view in this whole area in my opinion. this is my favorite Trailhead in the area thus far :)

sunny gorgeous day! ..easy hike..and very pretty! lots of great native flowers at Sacramento river discovery center.

We left the trail on the return trip in search of the waterfall that everyone was talking about. We didnt find it but we know where we went wrong and had a good adventure anyway.

Love this quick hike

This trail is not well marked and not a lot of shade. You see a lot of hills and dry grasslands. The gravel portion is nice and wide, but take off on some of the other trails to explore and get in a good hike. The highlight for me was crossing the water bed. Lots of horses on this one as seen by their manure.

I always enjoy hiking and I would say this is a nice trail to hike. Go hike it and enjoy yourself.

Not a bad trail, but I would say it’s probably best in the spring before everything turns brown. We hiked at 9AM on a June day and it was already pretty hot and there is NO shade.

Good trail. Cool history

While most of the terrain is flat, there are a LOT of volcanic rocks sticking up several inches above the ground. My kids (and me too) kept tripping on them. I wouldn't recommend using this as a running trail. However, the scenery is beautiful and the Jedd's lookout is fantastic this time of year! This loop also connects to a trail leading to Bend Ferry Rd.

Super easy trail to walk / run on. Once you get about 2 miles out, you will overlook the Sacramento River with a stunning view. Highly recommend.
