Nice and easy going down.. You get a burst of cardio coming back up! Many trails to choose from in this little area.
We hiked this trail at night, heard mountain lions screaming and a dog yelping.. then it went silent. Keep your eyes open.

It was a bit confusing trying to find where to begin the hike but just walk through the golf course and signs will lead you to the trail. Keep going along the rocks and the trail will continue. I ended up just going along the beach (rocky and sandy) bring sunscreen, a camelback, a sheet to lay on the beach if you want to take a break and enjoy the scenery. Loved it because there was not a lot of people at all and I came on a Sunday afternoon.

wonderful views!

beautiful scenery! great hike overall!

I did this hike today. I'm a pretty amateur hiker and so far this hike is my favorite. It's the perfect length and difficulty to make for a casual

perfect challenges climbing over rocks for the young kids

Nice trail, beautiful views.

Beautiful trail! There’s tons of variation to go through in the preserve too. Just be prepared for lots of incline. The whole area’s on a slope so its a lot of going up and downhill.

Great with little ones. No steep hills. Very minimal inclines. Plenty of spots to stop and view the ocean and have a snack.
At the end there’s a rock beach that’s fun for exploring.
Also clean bathrooms and picnic tables towards the end.

Nice easy hike with amazing views of the ocean. Trail maps are available at the start/ends of the trails, but very hard to get lost

great view!! my son loved the hike!

Gorgeous seashore landscape and few people actually. Almost all the way exposed to sun. No outlet on the east side, you have to get back the same route becuz of private property

This is one of my favorite hikes. Easy to moderate but if you want a little challenge go up the Cristo Que Viento trail. The views are stunning and the degree of difficulty gives your body a good workout. Very little shade if you hike later in the day. Great dogs on leash hike.

Beautiful views and some decent climbs. I Highly recommend it :)

Beautiful views

Great trail, beautiful area. I prefer doing the trips down to the beach on the way in (get them done). On a hotter day this is a great trail to do, great ocean breezes. Unfortunately I accidentally turned my recorder off for 23 minutes so didn't record over a mile of my hike, bummer, at least my fitbit was recording.

Great place gorgeous views

The views are incredible. The Paintbrush Trail was closed at some parts. I just went for it, but it became clear the reason was the cliff it walks below is super unstable with tons of erosion, so I would recommend taking an alternate route I’m definitely never going on the closed trail again.

Easy trek. Really good for kids that you want to get them into the idea of hiking. Not steep at all. Just wish dogs were allowed at the destination (rocky Beach with cave). Otherwise definitely fun!

The hike itself is short, but you can continue on the beach. Getting to the beach requires a sturdy foot. The trail down, at least the one I used, was steep. Their are rocks at the very top of the beach to walk over. The beach was great. All the sand when I went was wet, making it easy (and fun) to walk on. It’s all very beautiful. There is no shade.

Ended up being an 8 mike hike. Super pretty views!
