Cool lil trail but as of July 7 it is bone dry.

i love the laguna area. especially this pct stretch up there. no where else in the county you can get the full appreciation of forested green mountain tops, with sweeping panoramic views tailing into the desert. go during a high pressure system because you can see clear across the salton sea to the chocolate mountains east of he city of pope. bring water and food, shelter too because you may not want to come down from there.

Awesome hike. Took my kite with me to fly at the peak. Beautiful location. No shade so hat is recommended.

Beautiful views!

We took about an hour hiking up and what a view!! Well worth the walk. It was a bit rocky once the grade began, but nothing onerous. Take plenty of water!

nice trail
kinda hard to find
had to use a website to find the beginning
and got lost several times
the service trail for the power pole mix in with the trail

REMEMBER GO LEFT AT THE T
but the stream was nice and cool and dogs loved it

ALSO A RATTLESNAKE LIVES UP IN THE SMALL CAVE ABOVE THE STREAM/WATERFALL
be careful with children or dogs or anyone

but it was a nice view on a positive note

It as mid 90's by the time we got going. We took lots of water, but only made it to about 200 yards beyond the big rock. My sweetie can't take the heat and altitude. She had the drumming heartbeat and had to stop to rest often. I guess you can't beat youth. We're on the high side of 60. Lots of wildflowers. Not a lot of water in the creek. A younger couple told us that the 'falls' were pretty weak. If you're going to hike this trail at this time of year, start early.

Muy Buen lugar me parecio medio tirandole a duro (hard) pero tienen preguntas de cual quier cosa desde permiso les dejo mi email con toda confianza dither_bm@yahoo.com

My family and our dog hiked this on Mother's Day. It was cool in the shade but warm in the sun, so layers were good. My kids are 8 and 11, and this was a very easy hike (I left my boots in the garage at home and did this in my husband's birks, 2 sizes too big). I will say that there are many trail junctions, so a map is necessary to know how to stay on the loop that you want.

The meadow was gorgeous and this is one of the most fragrant hikes I've been on in California (pines). We saw a handful of mountain bikers (which this trail is great for!) and a few walkers, but many long stretches alone. Overall, a very pleasant and peaceful walk.

Hiked this yesterday, but from a different starting point. Not a lot of water left, but the wildflowers are pretty gorgeous out there right now. I left wanting so much more of the PCT!

Beautiful, sunny day today. Yellow, white, and purple wildflowers were in bloom. Ran into about a dozen people during the hike (mid-day), about 50/50 mountain bikers to hikers. Nice combination of exposed and limited shade. Very easy grade. Lots of birds - spring is in the air. Dry - bring water and chap stick. Wonderful, pine tree smell!

I stumbled upon this trail by accident and am glad I did. The view at the top is incredible and the trail itself is very quiet. It’s windy at the top so bring a lightweight jacket.

Beautiful views, I wish they had a sign that directed you to the waterfall, I missed the split trail and ended in in the freeway in Campo. Next time I know!

A fairly well maintained path for how narrow it is. Saw some sdg&e employees on our way back up. plenty of exploring around the falls area, we went in early April to find a considerably verdant creek bed and clean stream.

This was a fun trail!! I highly suggest doing it in reverse so that you can camp at the meadow area. This was about 7 miles from the start going in reverse otherwise if you do it the way it suggests it is about 3.5-4 miles into the trail. It is really pretty and although you cannot see far you are surrounded by mountains

Pretty easy trail, for the last part we walked over the rocks to get a pod view of the falls, was great but not spectacular.

Not a bad trail. Heavy foot traffic, even early in the morning. The trail is rated moderate but is definitely easy; very little elevation. The lakes are full due to the winter rains and snows, frogs and ducks everywhere. On the return I took Sunset to get some better views and try to make it mote challenging. Easy either way you take it.

an awesome, easy trail with moderate elevation and beautiful pools at the end! so worth it! went in march and the weather was perfect. some shade, the sun wasn’t too bad out in the exposed areas either, and the water in the pools was clean and refreshing. highly recommended!

Enjoyable hike. With the recent rain and snow (winter months) there was a fair amount of water on the middle bend; just a little pond. Going is pretty easy, all down hill. Coming is uphill, but not steep at all. Take your time and enjoy the scenery. The open planes are always nice to see when hiking this particular area of Laguna.

great trail it is apart of the PCT so about 2ish miles in there is a sign that says no bikes on the trail and that's where you go left to stay on this trail and not fallow the PCT. water is running.

A fun little trek to a group of pools and some small falls. Met a handful of thru-hikers on day 2 of their PCT journey.

Good trail. Nice and quiet.

I visited the falls a day after we had some good rain. Parking was easy to find and the trail was well marked! We had the trail to ourselves and loved the scenery! The first chance you have to branch off the trail onto another, that is the trail to the falls. If you stay straight that will just continue on the PCT. I had my dogs with me so didn't hike down as far as I could have due to the rocks. Very peaceful!

My family and I loved this trail. Will most definitely do it again.

I almost did not want to post a review because I don't want people to know about this trail. It goes down an old road, but then weaves through the forest and fields. We saw some large mountain lion tracks in the snow which was pretty cool. Along the way there are good views, you can see out to Cuyamaca Peak and Stonewall Peak and beyond.

This trail is pretty flat other than the entrance/exit to the trailhead which is more like a steep animal trail than a hiking trail, if you catch my drift.

Did it at sunrise and completely worth it, even with sub 20F temperatures. A great hike and beautiful view!

Short hike down to the “falls”... more like stream, but I’ll take it! Very slippery along the water, even on the dry rocks. Check yourself for ticks after. Found tons on us and the dog. Very nice surroundings and shaded.

The path was well travelled and easy to follow. I did hike past the side trail to the falls because I wasn't paying attention. The granite rock around the falls is beautiful. It is a nice place to rest or eat a snack around the creek and there are plenty of good views along the hike.

Did this today with my mom it was a nice hike found the falls no problem
