It was short, easy hike with beautiful scenery. I thought the waterfall was going to be larger, but it was a great relief. Everyone traveling to it seemed to have the need to bath in it!!!

Great road for cycling or running.

California has been going through a drought and this summer has been one of the hottest summers I’ve ever experienced. The waterfall has lost its heavy and pleasant flow.

Sad because the water is gone

Amazing trail.
Tried it with the kids, and they loved it.

Crowded. Graffiti. Wanted to see what all the hubbub was about this place and was right: There is hubbub and therefore too many people. Probably won’t go again, but the canyon was pretty enough and I made sure to stop by the nature center on the way out of the area which was informative and lovely.

An easy hike, fun when you reach the stream, but hot and dry till you do. The trail crosses the stream 20+ times each way, so I plan on getting wet in advance. Extra socks and dry shoes in the car or keep sandals ready in the summer.

Loved this hike! My friend and I were visiting come out of town and knew we wanted to do a hike to a waterfall. The hike was a good choice for us as we are older and not in the best of shape. There was plenty of shade, it wasn’t very steep and offered just enough challenge for us to make it fun and not boring. It was a bit hot (record breaking temps from what we were told) so the waterfall at the end was a nice refreshing treat. We went on a Thursday and was surprised to see how crowded it was during the week. Once we got to the fall there were a lot of people in the pool and under the fall. All in All I really enjoyed this hike and would certainly do it again.

Easy hike, shaded and so still good to do on hot days. Saw a couple of snakes but not the rattle kind. Waterfall is refreshing.

Lovely hike but beware of rattlesnakes seen two on this trail on two separate occasions...

Awesome hike great view at end of trail and campsite for all you campers...

it is a great trail and easy to walk except by the stream. Porta Pottys are gross. They could use some continual cleaning. A lot of people and

This is a great trail. It’s not too strenuous but you will get a workout. The waterfall is beautiful! The trail is moderately crowded with lots of traffic at the waterfall so be prepared for that. However, for some stretches I was completely alone. Be sure to bring sunscreen/a hat/a long-sleeved shirt because it’s very sunny until you get down in the canyon itself. Once at the bottom it’s very cool with lots of trees for shade.

Also, TAKE P L E N T Y OF WATER!!!

Great

I'd definitely bring a hat, because you will be in the sun for most of the trail. The only complaint I have is that people do smoke pot at the waterfall. Also bring mid top hiking shoes if you want to walk in the stream of water.

Awesome hike. Views of the campgrounds at the flats are gorgeous! Didn't realize how nice the view actually was until I started hiking down. Part of the Eaton Canyon trail. No shade, bring lots of water and sunblock!

Hiked mid-day in June and temps were high 80's. It was bearable for me, but a challenge. Had to stop a few times.

3rd time back awesome each time. people around super nice. be prepared to see lots of people there and people with loud music. please help the trails and bring a bag to pick up trash there are dirty people that leave trash not kool. but waterfall was good fresh and cold felt good. def will be coming back.

A little harder to reach the falls than it seemed in the reviews. Very nice and interesting hike when you get further into the canyon and to the stream, but very crowded on a Saturday. Come early to avoid the crowds.

Beautiful but not very serene unless you like to relax with 100s of strangers.

A very beautiful hike, and pretty moderate but it does get crowded towards the weekend and other afternoons.

Crowded, but very pretty with opportunity to wade into the pool around the waterfall

Beautiful waterfall, the water is so fresh and cold... prefect after a hot hike up there. Great for nature and creek pictures. Also not too hard for children. I’m nursing a fractured ankle and was still able to manage it. There are some parts that are tricky but there is pathes near by that are easy. Went with my family and definitely going back again with friends.

Great hike but even funner bike ride! Lots of incline, streams, rocky terrain, bring water bx it can get hot. Half sun half shade and some “permanent campers” up top so be aware.

I liked this hike. You should go early in the morning so there's not so many people. I don't like the fact that people bring their dogs and don't pick up their poop. Sure, it's nature. I still don't want to see a bunch of dog poop everywhere. If people don't want to pick it up then have your dog go behind a bush. Anywhere but the walking path please. It's also sad when people leave their trash. Other than that, it's a nice hike.

Great place for all begginers and experienced hikers. As far as wild life- butterflies everywhere, ground squirrels and plenty of small lizards. My 10 yr old sister had a blast in the water. We went on a Monday afternoon, plenty of parking, not crowded at all.

Great trail for all age. I like that it has multiple trails depending on your activity levels.

A beautiful hike if you can beat the crowds - i.e. go very early or avoid the weekends! Bring a trash bag and help us to keep this area clean, as sadly a lot of trash gets dumped over the weekend...

Heavy traffic on weekends during the warmer months but it has a good amount of parking. During the week you will still find a good amount of people on trail but I would say this is one of the most popular hikes in Los Angeles outside of Runyon Canyon and Griffith Park.

You have to cross the stream several times which becomes tricky after a good rain and there is a small waterfall at the end where you can wade in ankle high water but it will likely be crowded.
