it is a great trail and easy to walk except by the stream. Porta Pottys are gross. They could use some continual cleaning. A lot of people and

This is a great trail. It’s not too strenuous but you will get a workout. The waterfall is beautiful! The trail is moderately crowded with lots of traffic at the waterfall so be prepared for that. However, for some stretches I was completely alone. Be sure to bring sunscreen/a hat/a long-sleeved shirt because it’s very sunny until you get down in the canyon itself. Once at the bottom it’s very cool with lots of trees for shade.

Also, TAKE P L E N T Y OF WATER!!!

Great

I'd definitely bring a hat, because you will be in the sun for most of the trail. The only complaint I have is that people do smoke pot at the waterfall. Also bring mid top hiking shoes if you want to walk in the stream of water.

Awesome hike. Views of the campgrounds at the flats are gorgeous! Didn't realize how nice the view actually was until I started hiking down. Part of the Eaton Canyon trail. No shade, bring lots of water and sunblock!

Hiked mid-day in June and temps were high 80's. It was bearable for me, but a challenge. Had to stop a few times.

3rd time back awesome each time. people around super nice. be prepared to see lots of people there and people with loud music. please help the trails and bring a bag to pick up trash there are dirty people that leave trash not kool. but waterfall was good fresh and cold felt good. def will be coming back.

very easy hike

A little harder to reach the falls than it seemed in the reviews. Very nice and interesting hike when you get further into the canyon and to the stream, but very crowded on a Saturday. Come early to avoid the crowds.

Beautiful but not very serene unless you like to relax with 100s of strangers.

A very beautiful hike, and pretty moderate but it does get crowded towards the weekend and other afternoons.

Crowded, but very pretty with opportunity to wade into the pool around the waterfall

Beautiful waterfall, the water is so fresh and cold... prefect after a hot hike up there. Great for nature and creek pictures. Also not too hard for children. I’m nursing a fractured ankle and was still able to manage it. There are some parts that are tricky but there is pathes near by that are easy. Went with my family and definitely going back again with friends.

Great hike but even funner bike ride! Lots of incline, streams, rocky terrain, bring water bx it can get hot. Half sun half shade and some “permanent campers” up top so be aware.

I liked this hike. You should go early in the morning so there's not so many people. I don't like the fact that people bring their dogs and don't pick up their poop. Sure, it's nature. I still don't want to see a bunch of dog poop everywhere. If people don't want to pick it up then have your dog go behind a bush. Anywhere but the walking path please. It's also sad when people leave their trash. Other than that, it's a nice hike.

Great place for all begginers and experienced hikers. As far as wild life- butterflies everywhere, ground squirrels and plenty of small lizards. My 10 yr old sister had a blast in the water. We went on a Monday afternoon, plenty of parking, not crowded at all.

Great trail for all age. I like that it has multiple trails depending on your activity levels.

A beautiful hike if you can beat the crowds - i.e. go very early or avoid the weekends! Bring a trash bag and help us to keep this area clean, as sadly a lot of trash gets dumped over the weekend...

Heavy traffic on weekends during the warmer months but it has a good amount of parking. During the week you will still find a good amount of people on trail but I would say this is one of the most popular hikes in Los Angeles outside of Runyon Canyon and Griffith Park.

You have to cross the stream several times which becomes tricky after a good rain and there is a small waterfall at the end where you can wade in ankle high water but it will likely be crowded.

Great hike with beautiful views! Very busy and popular hike, the trail was full with back to back people on memorial day. Parking at the nature center was full, had to park on a nearby street.

Some were hiking with small children, I would not recommend this unless you're going to carry them during the last half of the trail. There's some jumping over streams, and climbing 4ft rock steps that would be difficult for very small children. Shoes that are water friendly definitely recommended. We also saw a rattlesnake right off the trail while we were hiking, be cautious friends!

Great trail, but very busy. Went on a Monday morning (Memorial day) and it was very crowded with kids and dogs. Dirt road up until the last quarter of a mile where your going to be running into a lot of large rocks and crossing streams. Recommend getting shoes that can deal with the water. Beautiful ending that's worth the walk with the waterfall and streams.

Great trail easy and the falls are beautiful.

This trail was my first waterfall trail i have done. There plenty to see there was lots of shade, stone hopping, nice hike buddies, and at the end a nice waterfall. someone told me if was gushing water but when I went it was a normal flow. was able to go under the waterfall and get went it was very peaceful will come back.

Great trail. VERY crowded (with people, dogs and music!)

Finally had a chance to check this place out. The description is fairly accurate: easy, flat sandy trail for the first 3/4 of the 3.5 mile trek, but once you hit the creek and up to the waterfall there’s lots of rocks and creek hopping. Not steep, though. Stick to weekdays if you dislike crowded trails. The creek and falls offer some nice photo opportunities. Great for kids and dogs. I took my 8 and 14 year old boys and they loved it.
