I usually do hikes up by Angeles or San Bernardino National Forest so I decided to do a beach hike today since I was closeby. The actual dirt trail is MAYBE 1/8 of the hike the rest of it was rocks. And there’s some parts where a bunch of rocks had accumulated and I could jog on a somewhat flattened path but expect your Hike to be very rocky. If you are gonna come in flat regular runners or slip on vans from high school, DONT DO IT- you’ll def end up hurting yourself. I almost ate it once or twice and I was wearing trail runners. Wear trail runners or hiking boots If i were to do this trail again (highly unlikely) or if I were you, I’d park my car where it shows the trail starts on the map. And go up the trail that goes UP not Down. And then keep walking along the street above. After you reach the final destination on the top where the road is, keep going further until you see sandy paths that go down- it goes down steep so be careful. From there, it should only take about 20 mins to get to the shipwreck. Or if you don’t feel like walking that much, park around the end of the trail on top and just look for one of those openings off to the right. I’m only saying this because I was so over the rocky part of the trail like 20 mins in and I was not having it but I have this thing where I have to finish the trail. Any questions, ask me directly on IG @agent.arthur The shipwreck was kinda cool though. I just had an extreme disdain for the amount of rocks on that “trail” and I have been on rocky trails before just not like this BS.

If you come expecting dirt trails, you’ll be disappointed. This trail is all rocks, and can be slippery at points if you don’t have the proper shoes. Despite there being no shade, the scenery is beautiful.

The trail started down the hill to the beach. So the way back is a straight up climbing. Once you get to the beach, it’s nice to stop for a bit to enjoy the ocean. It’s very rocky and slippery the whole way. I slipped twice and scraps my leg. Then we decide to turn around. There are a little bit dirt trail on the edge of cliff. It’s over grown so wear longer pants if you don’t want scratch on your legs.

Fun trail - but very rocky. We had hiking boots on to protect our ankles from the rocky trail. Easy on some parts of the trail, but moderate in others. Some trashy areas but overall nice little find.

Not worth it !!! Their was absolutely no path just different sizes rocks and all lose so ever step cold have been the one you slipped on ...horrible on your ankles and feet even tho JW as wearing high top hiking boots with ankle support... I would recommend parking closer and taking a closer hike down or just hiking on top of the mountain you will still get a work out minus the aches from all the rocks.Ps: worst hike ever ! I will never do this hike again !

It’s a very nice hike next to the shore but VERY rocky. Take shoes/boots with lots of support. Watch your step because some rocks aren’t as sturdy as they seem. Took me 4 hours to do trail.

more of a walk along the rocky shoreline than a trail. Very nice views and fresh ocean air. The shipwreck is at the end of the trail and is worth the visit.

Way more challenging than we thought. It took us 2 hours just to get to the shipwreck. 4 hours round trip. Check the high tide report before attempting to make it to the shipwreck.
